Game of Thrones: Drogon Wasn’t Aiming for the Iron Throne

With the final season of Game of Thrones earning a heap of Emmy nominations, the script to the series finale episode “The Iron Throne” has been made publicly available online. After giving the script a read, we found the answer to one of the more perplexing questions that came out of the final episode: why did Drogon melt the Iron Throne?

It’s been demonstrated that dragons are of high intelligence, but it seemed a stretch that the great beast would understand the importance of a geopolitical symbol and that his mother’s desire for it is what ultimately led to her demise. As it turns out, Drogon didn’t intentionally melt the throne. It was a complete accident.

What the Game Boy Means to Me, 30 Years Later

In 1992, my grandmother, my cousin and I were in a mall someplace in Bromley, Kent, England. At eight years old I was developing a burgeoning appreciation for visiting the mall with my grandmother; as a New Zealander who visited her in the UK once a year, she had a tendency to spoil me. During this particular mall visit, my cousin told her he wanted a Game Boy, Nintendo’s handheld console that had been released in Europe a couple of years prior. I didn’t know what a “Game Boy” was at that time, but I knew that if my cousin wanted one, then I wanted one too.

The Game Boy, an innocuous purchase for a kid who only really wanted one out of FOMO, changed my life.

Does Hobbs & Shaw Have a Post-Credits Scene?

While end credits scenes may be common these days that doesn’t mean every franchise has them. The Fast and the Furious series, from which Hobbs & Shaw hails, has had them.

Fast & Furious 6 ended with a stinger introducing Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw, who went on to co-star in the next two Furious films and now stars opposite Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs in this first spin-off in the Fast & Furious franchise.

So given that knowledge, should you expect to stick around for any in Hobbs & Shaw or can you just leave once the credits begin to roll?

In short, yes, you should stay all the way through the closing credits!

There are three end credits scenes in total. Two are mid-credits scenes while the final one is a post-credits scene.

Ben Affleck's tenure as Batman seems to have come to a close, but we now have some idea of the tone and content of his abandoned Batman movie. According to cinematographer Robert Richardson, Affleck's version of The Batman would have explored Batman's grip on sanity and focused on Arkham Asylum.

Richardson was previously attached to The Batman when Affleck was still slated to direct and star, and he shed more light on that version of the film on an episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast (via Batman News).
