Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers Announced

The next instalment of the Dynasty Warriors franchise has been announced.

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is set in the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese History -- the time where China was comprised of three state, Wei, Shu, and Wu, which took place between the Han and Jin dynasty.

The game takes cues from the Dynasty Tactics series and offers players a different way to experience the events of that saga.

As well as returning fan favourites, Godseekers throws newcomers Lixia and Lei Bin into the mix. Lixia is a lady with magical powers who’s been sealed in an icy shrine for centuries, while Lei Bin is Zhao Yun’s childhood friend and lore master.

The story throws players into the final days of the Han dynasty in 220 -- a time when China attempted to quell numerous uprisings and settle power struggles. Players will see Zhao Yun and Lei Bin as they set out to free Lixia from her prison while also finding themselves in a spot of bother.

Respawn Unsure If There Will Be a Titanfall 3

Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella says the studio is currently unsure as to whether or not there will be a Titanfall 3.

"We don't know yet," Zampella told Glixel when asked if there will be another installment. He said that Titanfall 2 has been a "huge success" critically and they're "really happy with all the reviews and the positive sentiment," but "it's too early to tell" from a sales standpoint.

"We'd definitely like to tell more of the story and the universe," Zampella continued. "I think it's pretty safe to assume that we'll explore more of it. EA might have announced more."

Watch the New Kong: Skull Island Trailer

The second trailer for Kong: Skull Island debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight, featuring more of cinema's biggest ape (who's bigger in this film than he's ever been depicted before).

The film, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and Samuel L. Jackson. The new trailer for the Vietnam era-set tale opens with CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" blaring as our characters undertake their mission only to run afoul of King Kong.

The trailer also features a bit more humor than the first trailer did, this time courtesy of John C. Reilly's character, as well as the other monsters who inhabit Skull Island.

Suicide Squad Extended Cut Fleshes Out Joker and Harley Quinn But Not Much Else

The Suicide Squad Extended Cut contains 11 extra minutes of footage, but is that enough to make the divisive movie any better? Unless your name is Harley Quinn, no, not really.

This article is solely focused on whether the Extended Edition makes Suicide Squad a better film and what new material appears in this version. Check out my review of the Suicide Squad theatrical release for my full thoughts and the film’s critical score.

Warning: beware of spoilers for Suicide Squad!

Suicide Squad’s main problems had to do with the clunky story, mishandling of key characters, and the use of a dozen too-many pop songs that made it feel like a feature length trailer more than a cohesive film. The addition of a few cut scenes and putting some lines of dialogue back in doesn’t change any of that.

What the Heck Happened to Harley Quinn?

Harley Quinn experienced a big change in the newest issue of Suicide Squad.

STL023252

Warning: this issue contains spoilers for Suicide Squad #6!

As this issue proved, the members of Task Force X aren't doing so well since their recent mission in Siberia. The mysterious artifact they brought back to ARGUS headquarters has begun influencing the minds of everyone in the base, causing the various Squad members to turn on each other in a bloodthirsty rampage. However, the orb didn't work as intended on one member. Harley Quinn is already insane, so it's mind-altering effects merely turned her sane instead. For the first time since her fateful encounter with Joker, Harley is back to being plain old Dr. Harleen Quinzel again.
