Weirdest Mario Games Ever Made
Mario is easily the most recognizable character in gaming. When he isn't saving the Mushroom Kingdom, he's out there playing golf or racing karts. In fact, Mario doesn't seem particularly choosey about how he spends his off-time. If you want proof Mario is pushing himself too hard, have a look at some of the weirdest, most absurd games in which he appears.
Mario Paint took all the best things about Microsoft Paint, put them on Super Nintendo... and added music. Originally a pack-in title with the Super NES mouse peripheral, Mario Paint let the plumber show off his creative side. Mario Paint might be best remembered for the bizarre music people have created in the years since. But most importantly, it showed us a side of Mario we never knew before: wearing a smock.
Hitman Dev Lost the Right to Make Kane and Lynch Sequels
IO Interactive lost the right to make Kane & Lynch sequels when its ties with Square Enix were severed earlier this year.
The news was revealed in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, where IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak discussed the shift to independent development after a management buyout saved them from souring negotiations with Square Enix.
Abrak noted that IO "lost Kane & Lynch and Mini Ninjas in the divorce," but the company has managed to acquire control of the rights to the Hitman franchise, as well as Freedom Fighters.
Kane & Lynch is third-person shooter franchise that received two installments developed by IO interactive. The games had you controlling two bank-robbing mercenaries caught up in criminal organizations that spanned the globe. For our thoughts on 2010's Kane & Lynch 2, read IGN's review

Mario's creator, Shigeru Miyamoto has apparently been involved in the talks, and will likely serve as producer on the film if and when it's made.

EA to Reduce Battlefront 2 Hero Costs by 75 Percent
In response to fan feedback from the Play First Trial, Electronic Arts has announced it will reduce the amount of credits required to unlock top-tier heroes in Star Wars Battlefront II by 75 percent.
"Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will now be available for 15,000 credits; Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa for 10,000 credits; and Iden at 5,000 credits." DICE executive producer John Wasilzyk said in a post on EA's official site.
