South Park Creators Renew Deal With Comedy Central

Comedy Central has renewed South Park for seasons 21, 22, and 23, network president Michele Ganeless announced today. The three seasons will be comprised of thirty new episodes, which will air through 2019. Hulu has also renewed its deal with South Park Digital Studios, assuring the streaming service will remain the exclusive SVOD home to the legendary animated series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu will pay Viacom and South Park's creative team $192 million USD over five years. The money will reportedly be split 50/50 between the two parties.

"South Park remains the bedrock of Comedy Central and we are thrilled that new episodes will continue to entertain audiences for years to come," said Ganeless. Two More Street Fighter 5 Characters Rumored

Urien and Alex may be coming to Street Fighter 5 "at some point in the future."

This rumor comes by way of Siliconera, whose story does not specify exactly where their info is coming from, simply citing "sources" whom they claim have "confirmed" it to them. We reached out to Capcom on the matter, and their only response was the expected "We do not comment on rumors or speculation."

Were the rumor prove to be true, it would be quite significant, as neither of these characters have seen life in any Street Fighter since Street Fighter III: Third Strike. Alex, a hybrid grappler/brawler, has been requested often by Street Fighter fans, and Urien was infamous for his incredible mix-ups and unblockable setups using his Aegis Reflector special. The prospect of either returning would certainly be exciting for long-time fans.
