Play NES Games with a PS4 Controller

Analogue, the company behind the premium RGB-enabled NES Analogue NT, announced a new wireless adapter for the Nintendo Entertainment System today that uses any bluetooth enabled controller — including the gamepads for PlayStation 4 and Wii U.

The company has partnered with peripheral maker 8bitdo to build the Retro Receiver, a bluetooth receiver that can be plugged into your original NES (or other aftermarket systems). The peripheral supports current-gen controllers including the PlayStation Dualshock 4, Nintendo’s Wii U Pro Controller and Wii Remote, and more.

New Kirby 3DS Doesn’t Reinvent the Wheel, and That’s OK

As soon as I started playing Kirby: Planet Robobot, I immediately knew what to do. Jump, swallow, absorb, pound, spit, repeat -- the Kirby formula hasn’t changed much over the years, and it’s on full display here without much of a learning curve.

But while it would be easy to complain about that or call it formulaic, it’s actually refreshing to see a Nintendo franchise sticking to its roots, especially when it comes to control.

When Nintendo games shake things up successfully, they’re unrivaled in terms of rewarding gameplay. Without changing the original formulas, we would never have gotten Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, or any number of other Nintendo classics. But today, just days after the release of Star Fox Zero and its controversial control scheme, it’s nice to sit down with a Nintendo game that embraces what makes a franchise great without trying to fix what isn’t broken.

The Walking Dead Season 3 will be “Checking in on Clementine”

Creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, has confirmed that Season 3 of Telltale's The Walking Dead will feature recurring star, Clementine - but hints that we may be seeing an older version of her.

Kirkman revealed the news in a new video about Telltale's adaptations ahead of the Michonne miniseries' April 26 finale. "We'll be checking in on Clementine again," he explains, "so we'll be seeing her, seeing where she's at and what's going on with her, which is going to be great."

However, Kirkman also explains that "Season 3 will actually be getting pretty close to where we are in the comics currently - like the books that are coming out now are roughly in the same time frame that Season 3 will be in."

DriveClub VR Rated by ESRB

DriveClub VR has been given an E rating from the ESRB, strengthening the case for the driving sim update to get a release.

Although a VR version of the racing sim was revealed as a prototype and demoed last year for PlayStation VR, nothing has ever been formally announced.

What makes the rating interesting is the fact that Evolution Studios, the developer behind DriveClub, shut down last month. It's possible Evolution was working on the VR port before closure and the work was transferred to another studio, or development had already finished on it.
