We recently spoke to writer-director Taika Waititi about his new film Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and while we had the New Zealander cornered, took the opportunity to ask him about the movie he’s currently shooting, Thor Ragnarok. And more specifically, Darryl Jacobson. Now you might remember Darryl from the following vid….
So we asked for a bit more detail about the mystery man. “Thor briefly rented a room in a flat in Australia after the Ultron debacle” explained Waititi. “Just to get some downtime – to get away from The Avengers, to get away from America. So he had a little downtime in Australian. And he met this guy Darryl and they shared a flat together. So that’s Darryl.”
Star Wars Rogue One Composer Replaced After Reshoots
Alexandre Desplat has been replaced as the composer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story following extensive reshoots on the film.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Michael Giacchino - who wrote music for The Incredibles, the Star Trek reboot, and the Medal of Honor series - has been brought in to provide the score for the first Star Wars anthology film.
Grand Budapest Hotel and Godzilla composer, Desplat has been slated to work on the film since last year.

No, Australia didn’t invent the pick-up; they already existed. The ‘ute’, however, is something slightly different.
The birth of the ute is folklore amongst Australian revheads. It goes that, back in 1932, a Victorian woman sent a letter to Ford Australia suggesting the company build a vehicle stylish enough to take her and her husband to church on Sundays but practical enough for them to carry their pigs to market on Mondays. Ford designer Lewis Bandt developed the response: the 1934 Ford coupé utility. Henry Ford nicknamed it the ‘kangaroo chaser’ when Bandt displayed a pair of examples to Ford in Detroit.

Undertale Creator Releases Unused Music
To celebrate its one year anniversary, Undertale's creator has opened up about how its success affected him, as well as releasing tracks that never made it into the final game.
Toby Fox has written a candid blog post about the highs and lows of making a successful indie game - a game we scored a 10 back in January.
"Not only did I not expect this level of popularity, but initially, I was afraid of it", writes Fox. "I didn’t want Undertale to become tiring for people, or become spoiled before anyone even got a chance to play it. Early on (this was probably excessive) I even tried to contact certain Let’s Players to tell them not to make any content about it.

Madden Topped Sales for August, No Man’s Sky Was Right Behind
The best-selling game for August 2016 was Madden NFL 17, followed by No Man's Sky. However, sales of No Man's Sky didn't take into account digital sales for the period, meaning only physical copies of the game were tallied in the results.
While Madden was the top game, when compared to Madden NFL 16, spending was actually down by 3 percent, according to the report.
The Xbox One S, already revealed by Microsoft as August 2016's top-selling console, also saw its popularity spill over to controllers. The Xbox One S white controller sold 79,000 units, "26 percent of all Xbox One gamepads sold for the month," making it the month's top seller.
No Man’s Sky Player Walks Completely Around Planet
One player in No Man's Sky spent two weeks circumnavigating his planet, venturing out from his ship and traveling all around the planet back to it safely.
Steambot detailed his story on Reddit and to IGN, as well as captured the final hour of his trip as he returned to his ship and launched into space.
"After it was done I was relieved that I could finally do something else but also a little sad that it was over. I will remember this experience fondly," Steambot told IGN about the experience, the end of which you can watch below:
