Expect Sony to have a big presence around Tokyo Game Show this year, as the company has a PlayStation press conference scheduled for September 13 at 4 p.m. JST/12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET/8 a.m. BST/5 p.m. AEST.
The Flash Movie: Billy Crudup May Play Barry Allen’s Dad
Warner Bros.' The Flash movie may soon be adding another member to its cast, as Billy Crudup is reportedly in talks to star as the father of Ezra Miller's Barry Allen.
While the studio has yet to officially comment on the matter, sources have told Variety that Crudup is currently in negotiations to join the project.
This wouldn't be the first time the actor has appeared in a DC film, having previous starred as Doctor Manhattan/Jon Osterman in Zack Snyder's Watchmen. Crudup also appeared in last year's Oscar-winning film, Spotlight.

Legion Teaser Provides Sneak Peek at Season 1
Ahead of Legion's premiere early next year, FX has released a new promo video, teasing what lies ahead in Season 1.
Check out the clip below to see The Guest's Dan Stevens as David Haller, a diagnosed schizophrenic "who may be more than human," thanks to his ability to see and hear things others can't.
Legion also stars Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton, Jeremie Harris, Bill Irwin and Aubrey Plaza. Fargo's Noah Hawley is executive producing the series and wrote the pilot episode.

Sgt. Rock Will Eventually Make it to Legends of Tomorrow
Given the fact that the time travel scenario in DC's Legends of Tomorrow allows the series to use DC Comics characters from pretty much any era, it would feel like a natural place to bring the comic book character Sgt. Rock into live-action - and indeed, Rock's introduction has been rumored before, only for it to not occur. However, Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells IGN they do indeed plan to bring in Sgt. Rock eventually.
Season 2 is introducing the Justice Society of America, World War II background included, and I asked Guggenheim if that could allow for Rock -- traditionally depicted in DC Comics as a US World War II soldier -- to make his debut as well.
Breaking Bad Creator Developing New HBO Miniseries
Raven, a miniseries about the Jim Jones cult, is in the works at HBO, and Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is on board to both write and executive produce.
After working with Gilligan on Breaking Bad, director Michelle MacLaren -- who helmed some of that AMC show's most acclaimed episodes -- is re-teaming with Gilligan to direct and executive produce Raven, Deadline reports. MacLaren has also directed episodes of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
Raven will tell the story of Jim Jones and his group of followers, who he goaded into committing mass murder-suicide in Jonestown, Guyana in 1978.

Game of Thrones Star Joins Strange New Things Pilot
Amazon's upcoming drama pilot Strange New Things has found its leading man in Richard Madden.
According to Deadline, Madden — best known for his role as Robb Stark in Game of Thrones — will star as a priest named Peter, who travels into space to establish a new colony.

11 Things We Learned About Super Mario Run
Shigeru Miyamoto has given plenty of presentations in his long career, but Tuesday’s surprise announcement of Super Mario Run at Apple’s September iPhone event was a little different for Nintendo’s most famous game designer, even if some of it was also business as usual.
“Yeah it’s the same that we always do,” Miyamoto told IGN. “Apple’s never done anything like this, where they had translation on stage for their events. I think that had them a little nervous originally, but that’s what we always do.”
“I was worried that we might come out and everyone might say ‘Hey we’re here to see iPhone 7, get off the stage,’” he joked. In reality, the designer got a great reception as he stepped on stage to unveil Nintendo’s next big mobile game. IGN sat down with Miyamoto to discuss his involvement with Super Mario Run, what he learned during the creative process, and more.
Alan Moore Announces Retirement From Comics
Alan Moore revealed that he'll soon be bringing his comic book career to an end. The writer of seminal works like Watchmen, V for Vendetta and Promethea made the announcement at a press conference in London while promoting his upcoming novel, Jerusalem.
According to The Guardian, Moore said, "I think I have done enough for comics. I’ve done all that I can. I think if I were to continue to work in comics, inevitably the ideas would suffer, inevitably you’d start to see me retread old ground and I think both you and I probably deserve something better than that."
Alien Nation Remake Gets Midnight Special Director
20th Century Fox's upcoming Alien Nation remake has found its director in Jeff Nichols.
According to Deadline, Nichols—who directed this year's sci-fi drama Midnight Special—is also on board to write the film, which is being produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Sara Greene.
