Pokemon Go Is Still Making $2 Million a Day

Pokemon Go, the location-based mobile juggernaut of 2016, is still reportedly going strong despite a steep decrease in overall activity. As reported by Games Industry, a new report from games data analytical firm Newzoo has shown over 700,000 people are still downloading Pokemon Go on a daily basis. All told, Pokemon Go has been reportedly installed over 550 million times, raking in over $470 million in sales.

All those downloads and in-app purchases are currently bringing in a reported $2 million USD every single day. According to Newzoo, the game reached its peak about three weeks after launch when over 27 million people were downloading the game and bringing in a revenue of over $16 million daily. And while that's certainly a large drop, the analysts are quick to point out Pokemon Go has yet to launch in South Korea and China.

The Rules of Time Travel on NBC’s Timeless

Traveling through time might be a familiar theme of new fall TV shows, but the stars of NBC's Timeless want everyone to know they're the only ones actually exploring true, dramatic time travel.

"We're the only ones that actually travel through time continuously all throughout and have a machine," clarified star Malcolm Barrett.

Timeless follows three strangers -- a historian (Abigail Spencer's Lucy Preston), a soldier (Matt Lanter's Wyatt Logan) and a scientist (Barrett's Rufus Carlin) -- who are thrust together after a criminal (Goran Visnjic's Garcia Flynn) steals a time machine and sets off through history with unclear aims. Each episode takes the trio to a different time period as they chase after Flynn, making Timeless as much be a period historical drama as it is a time travel adventure.

Chinese Gaming Tablet Lets You Play the Rumored NX Concept Today

Chinese peripheral maker Aikun has a gaming tablet device that looks strikingly similar to the rumored concept behind the Nintendo’s next gaming platform, codename NX.

The Morphus X300 is an Android-based gaming tablet that has dual 2.4 Ghz wireless controllers that magnetically snap onto the sides, an 8.0 megapixel rotating camera, and a built-in HDMI out -- so you can output games to a TV. Unlike the last batch of NX rumors, it doesn’t use cartridges. Games must be downloaded to the system internally, and it supports expanded storage up to 128 GB via microSD.

Aikun China Electronics Company's gaming tablet has a 45000 mAh battery that lasts 5 hours, and the controllers are charged by the base unit. It was shown publicly as early as June 2015. Aikun sought crowdfunding via Indiegogo for the Morphus X300, but it closed without hitting its funding goal. Despite this, the Morphus X300 appears to be available for purchase on Aikun’s website for $300 USD.
