Nintendo Offers a Few More Details on Zelda: Wind Waker 2

Nintendo shed some light on The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker 2, a sequel to the then-divisive cel-animated Zelda adventure, would have taken on a “more land-based setting.”

The new information came from an interview with artist Satoru Takizawa, design manager and enemy designer of Wind Waker, in the Japanese edition of The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts (called The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Graphics in Japan). It was translated by Nintendo Everything.

When asked about the shift towards realistic art direction for Twilight Princess, Takizawa admitted that the team had begun the initial steps towards creating Wind Waker 2, but the demand for a more Ocarina-like game couldn’t be ignored.

Oscars: Jimmy Kimmel to Host 2017 Academy Awards

Following his hosting stint at this year's 68th Primetime Emmys, Jimmy Kimmel is set to host the 2017 Academy Awards.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kimmel's selection will soon be announced by the show's producers, Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd. Though, Kimmel already confirmed the news on Twitter.

For Kimmel, this will be the first time hosting the Oscars after headlining the Primetime Emmys twice, in 2016 and 2012.

ABC, which is home to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, recently struck a new deal to broadcast the Oscars until 2028, affording the network more creative input on the show, like picking a host, The Hollywood Reporter explained. The Academy still has the final say, according to THR.

5 Notable Zombie Comedies

With AMC's The Walking Dead still blazing traumatizing trails on TV, the zombie genre has proven to be one of the most enduring and bankable blueprints in horror.

The overall grimness of the genre, however, can make any attempt to binge-watch a depressing dive. It's not exactly a sunny ride. Rarely is there a "cure" in sight, which means that the zompocalypse hellscape is permanent and inescapable, making everyone's journey one of survival and little else.

There are a few exceptions to the dreariness though and we've complied a list of famous films that managed to paint zombie outbreaks with a lighter brush. Here are some notable zombie comedies that managed to find laughs in the bleakest of stories.

Disney Made More Money This Year at the Box Office Than Any Studio Ever

Following this weekend's box office results, Walt Disney Studios has set a new box office record domestically while also crossing a major international gross milestone for the first time.

Walt Disney Studios, which encompasses Marvel Studios, Pixar, Disney Animation, and more, has so far made over an estimated $2.49 billion at the box office this year, the most any company has ever made at the domestic box office.

The previous record for the highest domestic box office year was held by Universal Pictures for its 2015 results, which were bolstered by the release of Jurassic World, Furious 7, and Minions. Disney came in second place to Universal last year, with approximately $2.3 billion dollars at the box office.

Transformers: Last Knight’s Story, Characters Revealed

Four months ago, on a scorching hot August day, I joined a small group of journalists invited to the set of Transformers: The Last Knight, which at that time was about a third of the way through its planned 130-day shooting schedule. Knowing a little about the legend of director Michael Bay I dared to hope we might see a few explosions, possibly even from the director himself if rumors were to be believed. While Bay was incredibly friendly and even-tempered all day, he did not disappoint with regard to the literal fireworks.

As we walked onto the vast outdoor lot behind Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac, MI, we passed what looked like an eight-foot-tall Styrofoam sculpture in the vague shape of a robot head lying on the ground unattended. We saw a freestanding, multi-story glass elevator set we were told had been shot on just a few days before. Most impressive was a 300,000-pound platform balanced on a massive gimbal. Earlier in the shoot that platform had been raised to a 23-degree angle (though it would eventually go all the way up to 45) to send star Josh Duhamel and more than 30,000 gallons of water rushing to the bottom. Before we left for the day we were also given a chance to walk through several truly massive, Transformer-scale interior sets built for the film.

Capcom to Begin Reviving Its Dormant Franchises

With the long-awaited Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite revealed, Capcom has announced that it will now begin a process of "reviving series that have not had new entries recently".

In a press release, the publisher said that - after announcing the first MvC game in five years - it is looking to "enhance its corporate value even further by utilizing its library of rich contents."

However, no mention was made of what games might be up for a return. Currently dormant Capcom franchises include the likes of Mega Man, Onimusha, Power Stone, Viewtiful Joe and Dino Crisis.

The publisher also made clear that these revivals would be alongside its "regular major title releases each fiscal year", which include Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Dead Rising.

A Classic Piece of Spider-Man’s Costume Is Back in Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming will see Tom Holland's Peter Parker don a long-forgotten piece of the hero's kit - his web wings.

Reported by Omelete (and translated by Collider), a clip from the film shown (but not publicly released) at Brazil's Comic Con Experience showed web wings as an upgrade to the suit seen in Captain America: Civil War.

Installed by Tony Stark and delivered by Jon Favreau's returning Happy Hogan character, the wings are shown after Spider-Man jumps from the top of the building, with Omelete saying they maintain "the blend of retro and technological" in Tom Holland's character's costume.
