Borderlands 3 Has an Apex Legends-Style Ping System

Gearbox Software has revealed new accessibility features for Borderlands 3, including an Apex Legends-style pinging system that will allow players to point out enemies, friends, chests, items, and more.

As reported by VG247, Gearbox detailed these new additions during its Guardian Con panel and further explained that the pinging system will ensure communication is in place for co-op teammates, even when voice chat is not available. When players ping anything in the world, a contextually relevant VO line will be played and the marked point will appear in the game world, as well as on the mini-map, for each player.

Pokemon Sword and Shield: New Pokemon and Gigantamaxing Revealed

The latest trailer for Pokemon Sword and Shield has revealed new Pokemon, version exclusive Gym Leaders, and Gigantamaxing, which allows select Pokémon to grow even bigger than when Dynamaxing, change their appearance, and use unique G-Max Moves.

Only certain Pokémon from certain species will be able to Gigantamax and these Pokémon will only be able to be caught in Max Raid Battles. This newest trailer showcases Gigantamax Drednaw, Corviknight, and Alcremie and shows how their appearance alters and how massive they become.

Batman Arkham Collection Coming This September

All three of the core Rocksteady Batman: Arkham games are being re-released for Xbox One and PS4 this September.

A listing for Batman Arkham Collection was posted on Amazon UK, announcing the re-release ahead of any official reveal from Warner Bros. or developer Rocksteady. However, Rocksteady’s marketing game manager, Gaz Deaves, confirmed the Arkham Collection on Twitter.

Inside and Limbo Developer Is Hiding Art for a New Game in Job Listings

Playdead, the developer of Inside and Limbo, has been offering glimpses at its new game via concept art in its job advertisements.

As noted by PC Gamer, Playdead has slowly been revealing new concept images from its upcoming sci-fi game via job listings since May.

The artwork shows a game that certainly sticks to Playdead’s established style: moody, melancholic landscapes painted in almost monochrome colours. Being a sci-fi, this new game features strange machinery, too.

Last year, in an article on DR Playdead co-founder Arnt Jensen said that the upcoming game will “move away from the 2D style that Playdead is known for”, with the game opening up to become a much larger explorable area.

Stranger Things Season 3 Featured a Fabulous Queer Eye Cameo

Eagle eyed viewers have spotted William Mahnken, who featured in the second season of Netflix's Queer Eye, in Stranger Things Season 3.

Stranger Things Season 3 is so jam packed with 80s references and synth-filled-spectacle that you’d be forgiven for not spotting everything on the first binge. Digital Spy (via Vulture) report that a certain super cute Queer eye alumni can be spotted working at the Hawkins Post newspaper in episode one.

Nintendo Has ‘Not Fallen Behind’ On Online, Says Miyamoto

Mario creator and Nintendo veteran Shigeru Miyamoto has contested the idea that Nintendo has fallen behind on technology such as online network services and virtual reality.

During a question and answer session as part of Nintendo’s annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Nintendo was asked about the impression that it has been “a little slow” to join global trends such as cloud computing, mobile, and VR.

“We have not fallen behind with either VR or network services,” Miyamoto responded. “We worked on them from the very beginning, and have been experimenting with them in a variety of ways.”
