If you've ever tried to make a relaxing little summer outdoor area in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you've likely experienced the pain of setting up an outdoor pool but not actually being able to sit in it. Despite looking cool and refreshing, pools thus far have only been for looking, not for sitting or swimming. Until now.

A glitch in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that has been gaining popularity lately allows players to clip into things they normally shouldn't be able to clip into. Most notably, this includes pools and rivers. Now, many players are using it to do fun activities like host pool parties or go for a swim in the game's rivers. Normally, it's possible to go swimming in the game without glitching anything by purchasing a wetsuit, but this only works in the oceans, and not in rivers or pools. But the glitch isn't just limited to water-based objects. Players are also using it to sit in places they normally couldn't, such as gaps in large items like the big stuffed bears and the teacup ride:

It also works with rocket ships and rocking horses, and the cotton candy machine. It's popular enough that one Reddit thread with over 1,700 upvotes has users begging Nintendo to let the glitch stick around so players can keep having fun. Part of this glitch's popularity is connected to how simple it is to do. It only requires an unfinished puzzle item to clip into whatever you want to glitch.

Another component of the glitch's popularity may be that there's been very little "new" in New Horizons lately. Though a May Day event just wrapped up, it was relatively similar to last year's, and there doesn't seem to be much coming beyond some more repeat events. We've already seen trailers for NEO: The World Ends With You confirming that certain characters from the original game are returning, with both numbers-obsessed Minamimoto and former reaper Kariya stepping back into the Reaper's Game for the sequel. But a new press release for the upcoming game seems to indicate that another character may be making a cameo, or at least is playing a role in the background of Shibuya in NEO. Spoiler Warning: The following contains spoilers for the end of the original The World Ends With You. Read on past the video at your own risk (don't worry, the video itself is safe). Though we never learn her fate after the crew meets up, much of her arc in the game was focused around her friendship with her friend Eri, a talented designer. Shiki is an adept seamstress and is able to make the clothes Eri designs, and even made "Mr. Mew," a stuffed cat she carries around in Shibuya and who aids her in battle. We've seen Mr. Mew reappear already in the hands of Tsugumi, a young woman who's been teased multiple times for NEO: The World Ends With You, though it's never been explained why she has Mr. Mew. However, a slide presentation about NEO: The World Ends With You sent out to media today reveals that Tsugumi's Mr. Mew may hold answers to Shiki's ultimate fate. "The stuffed animal she carries resembles the mascot of Gatto Nero, a new brand that's all the rage in Shibuya -- but her plush pal apparently predates the establishment of said brand." There are two clues in this excerpt about Shiki: the first is in Gatto Nero, the brand Mr. Mew is a mascot for. This implies that Shiki and Eri possibly went into business together and started their own brand, Gatto Nero, and may make an appearance tied into that brand's existence in Shibuya. The second is a bit more cryptic -- if Tsugumi's Mr. Mew predates Gatto Nero, then is it the original Mr. Mew? If so, it begs the question of how Tsugumi got him, as Shiki seems unlikely to have given him up easily. Either way, it lends more credence to the theory that she may reappear in NEO. As part of a recent Q&A held by Cinemark Playa Vista, Zack Snyder showed a picture of Wayne T. Carr dressed as the famous Green Lantern, John Stewart, on his phone. Twitter user Ishaan Sangha has shared a screenshot of Snyder showing off the photograph. The image-within-an-image nature means the quality is not great, but you can see Carr in the iconic green-and-black costume, holding up his Green Lantern power ring. We're likely not going to get to see an official version of this image, as John Stewart was cut from Zack Snyder's Justice League on Warner Bros. request. As reported by Screen Rant, the studio has intentions for future Green Lantern projects, and so requested that Stewart was removed from Justice League as to save that side of the DC universe for other movies. Marvel's What If...? – the animated series exploring hypothetical stories in the MCU – will come to Disney+ this August. Disney confirmed the release window to IGN, which narrows down the original Summer 2021 billing. The show will tell non-canonical stories from the MCU, including tales of Peggy Carter becoming Captain Britain and T'Challa (Black Panther) being abducted by the Reavers that took Peter Quill (Star Lord).
