PC Bug Prevents Progress For Some Dark Souls 3 Players

UPDATE: PC Gamer is reporting that the crashes are caused by the interplay between Bonfires' lighting and the game's cloth textures, which can be simply too beautiful for certain graphics cards.

As stated below, turning the lighting levels to low seems to fix the issue - but the game doesn't remember the change, so you'll need to reapply it every time you play.

An unspecified bug is affecting progression for players taking on Dark Souls III on PC.

Complaints from players on Reddit and Steam forums indicate a problem that’s causing the game to crash either after the first bonfire, or when players approach Firelink Shrine.

More Delays Reported for Virtual Reality Headsets

Oculus Rift customers waiting for their headsets were told that April 12 would see an update - and it doesn't look too good.

According to Eurogamer, there are reports of people being told they will have to wait until "early-to-mid May" to receive their Oculus Rift. Many of these people were told they would be receiving their headsets within the first few weeks of the March 28 release.

Meanwhile, an error regarding Kickstarter backer orders has been explained by an Oculus spokesperson on Reddit. Here's the statement: "Kickstarter Backers, we're changing your Order History to show "TBD" instead of the date as that date was applicable to the time in which we imported the orders. We've already fulfilled a large number of the orders and more are being fulfilled on a regular cadence. Your Rifts are from a different allocation."

Trademark Registered for “Amazing Katamari Damacy”

Bandai Namco has registered a trademark for "Amazing Katamari Damacy" in the EU.

Spotted by NeoGAF user ekim, it's unclear exactly what this trademark might be but, considering sequels in the series dropped the "Damacy", it could suggest a re-release of the PS2 2004 original is on its way.

The original Katamari Damacy - centred around rolling an ultra-sticky ball around various environments, hoovering up environmental objects to solve puzzles and grow in size - was notably never released in Europe.

Inhumans Movie May Push Back Release Date

Marvel's Inhumans movie will likely be pushed back from its expected July 12, 2019 release date, due to Disney's recent announcement of a new Indiana Jones. The new Indy flick is scheduled to be released just one week later, on July 19.

"Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us," Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Collider. Feige called the addition of Ant-Man and the Wasp "a big fun continuation of that story."

But with Disney's Indiana Jones announcement, Feige said he thinks the release will "shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now." As for how long that will be, Feige said "I’m not sure yet."
