The Division Drives Up March Software Sales
The NPD Group has released sales figures for March, and Tom Clancy's The Division was the top-selling game for the month.
Sony's PlayStation 4 was the top selling console for March 2016, with The Division unsurprisingly selling best on PS4.
Two Wii U exclusives debuted on the sales chart, with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and Pokken Tournament coming in at third and seventh, respectively. Both titles were also the only console-exclusives on the list.
Hardware sales overall were down a whopping 19 percent in dollar-sales for the month over the same period last year. However, The Division helped to drive software sales up 8% higher during the same period.

Player Two Fan Short Will Make You Cry
Last night I happened upon this fantastic short about one gamers ability to deal with loss. After losing his father, one commenter told a story about how that impacted him and left a comment about his experience. It was a story about how gaming brought his father back into his life in a unique way. The original comment that inspired the piece seen below was made by user 00WARTHERAPY00 when responding to a post asking if gaming could ever be a spiritual experience. Filmmaker John Wikstrom saw this and wanted to give his impactful and emotional response some special treatment. Below you can see the results of said piece which John was nice enough to let us share on IGN.

According to figures released by the NPD Group today, the PlayStation 4 was once again the best selling console in the United States for the month of March.
In a statement, Sony thanked its fans and partners for continuing the console's sales streak, as well as putting PS4 as "software sales leader for the month of March."
The NPD Group reports PS4 was the top platform for The Division, as well.
"We are truly humbled by the success and look forward to delivering more amazing gaming experiences," Sony said.

WB to Launch Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe
Warner Bros. has announced the title of the upcoming Scooby-Doo reboot, as well as plans for more Hanna-Barbera movies, in a sizzle reel at CinemaCon 2016.
The new Scooby-Doo movie, titled S.C.O.O.B., is planned for a 2018 release and according to Slashfilm, it will be the first of several potentially interlocking Hanna-Barbera movies.
Warner Bros. hasn't said yet how this will work, or what cartoons it might be looking at for future films, but the Hanna-Barbera roster has plenty of options. Johnny Quest, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, The Smurfs and more fall under the Hanna-Barbera license, though some of those rights now reside with other studios.
