Person of Interest: New Extended Trailer for the Final Season

It's the beginning of the end for Person of Interest.

IGN has the exclusive debut of the new extended trailer for Season 5, the final season of CBS's action drama starring Jim Caviezel, Kevin Chapman, Sarah Shahi, Amy Acker and Michael Emerson. Watch it below:

There's plenty to be excited about in this two-minute preview, but it's especially exciting to see just how much Shaw is in it. As Sarah Shahi promised at Person of Interest's New York Comic Con panel, "Shaw comes back in a very dynamic way."

The trailer leans into how this is the final season, but also plays up that there's plenty of excitement, gunfights and apocalyptic situations in our future. Oh, also, apparently some romance for a certain fan-favorite pairing?

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Delayed Again

Mirror's Edge is getting another delay, this time to June.

Game director Erik Odeldahl announced that the game has been pushed another two weeks, to June 7 in North America and June 9 in Europe. He says the extra time will be used to address player feedback from the closed beta, particularly in regards to the Social Play online features.

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst had originally been slated for February 23, but was pushed back to May 24 late last year. The Social Play features include an asynchronous Beat L.E. mode that lets you mark elements in the world for other players, highlighting Easter eggs or shortcuts. Those will be tested this coming week with the closed beta, but until then you can read IGN's recent hands-on.

Director Can’t Imagine Iron Man Without Downey Jr

As the man who directed the first Iron Man movie, Jon Favreau’s influence over the 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' can’t be understated.

Casting Robert Downey Jr. in the lead was a stroke of genius, the actor taking centre stage in five Marvel movies so far, with another coming this summer in the shape of Captain America: Civil War. But Downey can’t play Tony Stark for ever, so we asked Favreau if he thinks the studio could make an Iron Man movie without him.

“I can’t imagine how they could but that doesn’t mean that they can’t. I just can’t wrap my head around that one" came the response.

“To me he’s the one element that has unified all of it, and I think kept a consistent tone, and the integrity of his acting ability and his talent really works wonderfully synergistically with the Marvel universe.

Why Garrison Kane, Sluggo and Wire Aren’t In Deadpool

With Deadpool 2 announced this week, the men responsible for the genre's newest franchise have been talking about the characters that very nearly made it into the first movie.

We already know that villains Garrison Kane, Sluggo and Wire were in an early version of the script, and when IGN recently met with director Tim Miller and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, we got some insight into why they were cut, and whether or not they might be included in the forthcoming sequel.

As Miller explained: “They were Ajax’s sidekicks – they’re all good characters.

Lawbreakers Team-Shooting Gameplay is Furious and Fluid

In a year of colorfully bright hero-shooters getting ready to take over, Lawbreakers is something different. It’s a hybrid of a hybrid, as strange as that sounds, mixing the feel of a frantic arena shooter with the tactics of a character-class team shooter. Then it sends the whole thing into a freeform spiral by bending and breaking the laws of gravity.

Boss Key’s shooter takes place in our future, after the appropriately named “Shattering” broke things up and introduced gravity anomalies. But the story goes that people are starting to use these anomalies in their favor, learning how to pull off crazy maneuvers, which is similar to how I felt a few matches into Lawbreakers.
