Square Enix Releasing Black and White Batman Figure
Square Enix is releasing an exclusive black and white version of its Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Play Arts Kai Batman figure.
The San Diego Comic-Con 2016 exclusive plays on Batman's "film noir roots" with its black and white coloring, while "highlighting the modernity of
dynamic design" in Warner Bros' Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Standing 10 inches tall, this new Batman figure is painted to mimic the look of the Dark Knight standing against the light. As with the original Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Play Arts Kai Batman figure, SDCC-exclusive Batman is equipped with flexible materials and articulated joints for "improved poseability."
Star Wars: Episode 8 Director Posts Two Photos From Set
Star Wars: Episode VIII is halfway through filming, according to director Rian Johnson.
To celebrate, he posted two black-and-white behind-the-scenes images from the movie to his Tumblr blog.
"'Good. Bad. I’m the guy with the microfiber sham,'" Johnson wrote, in reference to Army of Darkness. "I can’t believe we’re halfway through the shoot. (We’re halfway through the shoot!)"
Outlander: The Frustrations and Joys Facing Claire and Jamie
Spoilers for Outlander: Season 2 continue below.
Jamie and Claire are having a hard go of their Paris adventure as Outlander enters the fourth episode of Season 2. Their mission of trying to stop the Battle of Culloden from taking place has sent them on two separate storylines, and that disconnect -- coupled with residual trauma from the end of Season 1 -- are taking their toll on Outlander's two main characters.
"Jamie’s definitely still scarred physically but also mentally," star Sam Heughan said. "He doesn’t deal with it, so he pushes it to one side, and he’s also got this mission, so he’s dealing with that. Claire is also. They lose track of each other, they lose contact, and it becomes poisonous in their relationship and it kind of implodes on them."

Iron Man Director Discusses Potential Marvel Return
Jon Favreau is riding high at the box office with The Jungle Book, but when IGN sat down to talk all things Kipling and Disney with the director, we also asked whether a third superhero movie might be in his future.
Favreau laid the foundations for the MCU by helming the first two Iron Man movies, and has executive produced several Marvel movies since, so we asked what it would take to get him back in the director’s chair.
“A great story” was the response. “I know the people over there. I like them. I still executive produce the Avengers series and I like what they’re doing a lot now, I do. By the same token I feel like I’ve made my mark; whatever we did in those early days has continued and is in good hands with new filmmakers with fresh voices.
The Division: Ubisoft Addresses Cheating, Outlines Penalties
Ubisoft Massive has responded to issues with cheating in The Division, and is going to take steps to combat it.
First of all, a new detection system has been implemented to catch players using cheat engines in the game. This is already starting to take effect, and Ubisoft will be handing out the largest wave of suspensions and bans to date over the next few days.
Players caught cheating will be given a 14 day suspension if it is their first offense. A second offense will always result in a permanent ban.
Ubisoft will also be clamping down on players using bug exploits. All known exploits will be kept in public forum threads, and new ones will be quickly confirmed. If a player is caught repeatedly using the exploit, there is the possibility of character rollbacks, account suspensions, and permanent bans.
Game from Doom Co-Creators Already Pulled from Kickstarter
Just days after launching, the Kickstarter for John Romero and Adrian Carmack's new game has been pulled down.
According to the latest backer update the Doom co-creators have paused the project as they prepare a demo. A demo which will display "the things we've waited years to put into an FPS and which make us incredibly excited about this game."
The game in question is the first-person shooter Blackroom. Romero and Carmack teased the project, and launched their crowdfunding campaign, just days ago. In that time they raised more than $131 thousand of their stated $700 thousand goal.
