Overwatch Competitive Play to Get Lots of Updates After Launching
Game director Jeff Kaplan has outlined some of the changes coming to Overwatch's Competitive Play thanks to the feedback from the Public Test Region.
The PTR launched earlier this week, giving PC players a chance to try out ranked mode before it comes to the live servers. Kaplan says a lot of changes are planned, and some of them are "not something we can realistically do until our Fall season."
But rather than delay Competitive Mode further, Blizzard will be releasing it with the next content patch using the current ruleset. Big changes will come a few months down the line. "I've mentioned previously that I believe Competitive Play is the type of system that will require a few seasons before we reach the place where we want to be," said Kaplan.
Sonic Team Working on a “Completely New Game”
Head of Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka has confirmed that the developer is working on a "completely new game".
Famitsu (as translated by Soah City) asked Iizuka what the future of Sonic might be, to which he replied:
"We at Sonic Team – are developing a completely new game, as well as developing a full movie, actively done by Sony Pictures, and animation on Sonic Boom. We are also ready to improve sponsor ties. The most important thing is not the fact the series survived for 25 years, but how many gamesdeveloped. Our goal – add something new and overcome any potential hardships."

Ash vs Evil Dead Is Going Bigger and Bloodier in Season 2
Walking around the set of Ash vs Evil Dead, it's normal to pass decapitated heads, boxes of intestines and empty skin suits. It's near impossible to leave without a layer of sticky blood on the bottom of your shoes. But none of that phases the cast and crew, because it's nowhere near as absurdly, hilariously insane as what is being filmed.
Starz delighted fans of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell's cult classic Evil Dead franchise when it announced it would be launching a sequel series reteaming the two called Ash vs. Evil Dead. The first season teamed Ash with new friends Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo), who went on a road trip to the infamous Evil Dead cabin to try to destroy the Necronomicon. They ended up unleashing hell -- literally -- in the process.
11 Big Missing Games of E3 2016
While E3 2016 was a week filled with amazing games like Zelda, God of War, and Sea of Thieves. But alongside this wealth of promising experiences were some noticeable absences. Some of which, like CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, we knew about before the show. Others came as a complete surprise. Here are 11 of the biggest games that were missing from E3.
After getting a fresh look at Kingdom Hearts 3 at last year’s show, its absence in 2016 was noticeable, if not entirely unexpected. The next few months is all about Final Fantasy XV for Square, and they don’t want to complicate the message by bringing up their big games of 2017 and beyond. Still, fingers crossed we see Sora and company later this year at TGS or PSX. Oh, and while we're at it, a tease of a Marvel or Star Wars-based level wouldn't hurt, either.
