HBO Confirms Who Both of Jon Snow’s Parents Are

If you've got this far and haven't realized this article will contain Game of Thrones spoilers, this is your final warning.

HBO has confirmed, either accidentally or otherwise, who Jon Snow's father is. The finale of Season 6, Winds of Winter, revealed his mother is actually Lyanna Stark, but an infographic on the Making Game of Thrones blog has more information for us.

Not only did Rhaegar Targaryen abduct Lyanna Stark, he also apparently impregnated her, and Jon Snow is their offspring. This finally confirms the "R+L=J" theory which has been circulating for many years.

EA Investigates FIFA’s FUT ‘Chemistry Inconsistency’ Issues

EA Sports has launched an investigation following reports of a "chemistry inconsistency" in FIFA's Ultimate Team (FUT).

In FIFA Ultimate Team, players should be affected by "Team Chemistry". In theory, the more familiar teammates are with each other - or the more they play together for you - the higher the chemistry, and the better the performance.

However, as this Reddit thread attests, some fans continue to report issues with the chemistry algorithm, with many high-profile players failing to perform as they should - particularly those added to FUT packs mid-season.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild Needs to Pass 2 Million in Sales

A couple of interesting new facts on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have sprung up at Nintendo's recent shareholder's meeting.

As translated by Twitter user Cheesemeister, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed over 100 staff worked on Breath of the Wild, while the game has over 300 people in its credits who worked on it over 5 years.

"The costs

will be recovered by selling in large volumes", Miyamoto reportedly said, "passing 2 million sales. A game is a hit in the domestic market if it reaches 300k sales, but we're targeting worldwide sales."

Miyamoto also revealed that the company is currently "researching" VR, and offered a reason why there was no NX at E3 this year.

Nintendo Confirms VR Research

At its first shareholder's meeting for the fiscal year, Nintendo has confirmed it's actively 'researching' virtual reality.

Per reports from Twitter (as translated by Cheesemeister), Shigeru Miyamoto said the company was "researching VR" so it has "the core technology."

"Long play sessions are an issue," Miyamoto reportedly said. "We want to release something that can be played for long periods, carries value, and is affordable. We want parents to feel at ease."

VR functionality is but one of many rumors around Nintendo's new console, the NX, which has a release window of March, 2017. We currently know very little about the machine, and it was absent from E3. Miyamoto claimed this was to "avoid imitators"

Avatar Director Not a Fan of Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It's refreshing to hear a blockbuster movie director's take on another blockbuster movie.

James Cameron - aka the King of the World - wasn't a big fan of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

In a student interview on YouTube (as picked up by BMD), Cameron very diplomatically stated that he thought "this film was more of a retrenchment to things you had seen before".

"George Lucas is a friend of mine and he and I were having a conversation about it the other day. I don’t want to say too much about the film, because I also have a lot of respect for J.J. Abrams", Cameron began.

The Walking Dead Reportedly Adds Characters for Season 7

The Walking Dead is reportedly getting two additional characters during Season 7 of AMC's post-apocalyptic zombie drama.

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello's unnamed sources, two new characters who apparently aren't from the comics are set to appear in the season's sixth episode.

The first is a "grandmotherly" woman named Naomi who's "willing to do whatever it takes" after having lost many of the people she loved. The other is a "sunny-side-up kinda teenager" named Jennie who has the "world-weary toughness" seen in Emily Kinney's Beth Greene.

GoT’s Lancel Lannister Discusses the Rise of Mad Queen Cersei

Full spoilers for Game of Thrones continue up through its Season 6 finale, "The Winds of Winter," below.

King's Landing isn't going to be the same when Game of Thrones returns in Season 7. Thanks to a plot by Cersei Lannister to overthrow the High Sparrow and Faith Militant, many of the key power players in the capitol of Westeros met with a fiery death in the explosion of the Sept of Baelor.

One of those many victims was Lancel Lannister, who tried so hard to prevent Mad King Aerys Targaryen's secret stash of wildfire from being set alight. Eugene Simon, the actor who played Lancel, got on the phone to talk about his climactic sendoff and discuss the repercussions of Cersei's power play for the Iron Throne.
