Blizzard Working on Overwatch Competitive Disconnect Bug

Blizzard Entertainment is actively working to fix an Overwatch bug that causes players to disconnect from a game, only to reconnect moments later—but regardless of the game's outcome, the affected player still receives a loss or a decrease in skill rating.

In a post on the Battle.net forums, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan told fans fixes are coming this week... hopefully. Exact details on the fixes were not provided.

Overwatch's competitive mode rolled out on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 last week. There are already a bunch of changes in the pipeline for Overwatch's competitive mode, and Kaplan expects the game to continue to evolve as more data is gathered.

Report: Blizzard Suing Overwatch Cheat-maker

Blizzard has launched a lawsuit against a well-known Overwatch cheat-maker.

The cheat-maker specialises in creating monthly-subscription cheat services and bots on PC. The company’s Overwatch offerings include a bot that plays the game for you, and a program which alters the in-game environment so the player has an unfair advantage over non-cheaters.

According to TorrentFreak, Blizzard argues the sale of such add-ons will not only cost them millions of dollars, but will also cause damage to the Overwatch community as a whole.

“Defendants’ sale and distribution of the

BvS Supercut Counts How Many Murders Batfleck Commits

Ben Affleck's Batman killed a whole lot of people in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, racking up a kill count of 21 over the course of Zack Snyder's superhero flick.

YouTuber Mr Sunday Movies spliced together all of Batfleck's murderous scenes (not including the Knightmare sequence) and tallied up all the kills in a supercut video. Give it a look below.

As noted by GamesRadar, this makes for the most kills by the Dark Knight in a film ever, eclipsing the prior record holder, Tim Burton's 1989 Batman movie, which had 17 kills.

Rockstar’s The Warriors is now Out for PS4

The Warriors - Rockstar's 2005 PS2 and Xbox brawler - has been released for PS4.

The game is available on the PS Store for £11.99/€14.99 (US and Australian prices are not available at time of writing).

It's very much a re-release, meaning it won't feature overhauled visuals or modern systems - but that's not to say it hasn't been brought up to date somewhat.

According to the game's PS Store listing, it features, "full 1080p up-rendering and enhanced features such as Trophies, Shareplay, Remote Play, Activity Feeds and Second Screen support for game manuals with PS Vita or PS App.

"This title has been converted from the original PS2 version to the PS4. There may be times where the the title plays differently from the PS2 version."

Ghostbusters Director Teases New Gadgets and Ghosts

Ghostbusters director Paul Feig has been talking about the treats he has in store for fans of the franchise in terms of new ghosts and gadgets being introduced in the film.

So read on for Feig's full report, just beware of MILD SPOILERS AHEAD

“Several of our ghosts are murderers and bad people who have a very strong energy that was negative that they’ve brought back. Like the one that shoots the ectoplasm on Kristen

in the trailers. You’ll find out that’s Gertrude Aldrich, who murdered all these servants, and her family – instead of turning her into the police – locked her in the basement of their mansion. So that ghost comes back and escapes.

Is Faeria the Next Big Collectible Card Game?

Hearthstone is the current king of digital CCGs, but it’s by no means the only place to get your fix. The genre as a whole is booming, in fact, with plenty of cool and innovative projects, and one of those is Faeria.

I’ve spent the last few days getting to know it (and barely scratching the surface), so consider this a basic primer to the game.

According to developer Abrakam, the earliest concepts for Faeria were workshopped way back to 2005, and the game “has been in constant development” since 2010. Faeria made its public debut in 2013, however, with a public beta in September, followed by a successful Kickstarter in November, which raised more than USD $94,000. It’s been a very long road since then, but Faeria is now available in early access on Steam and G2A.

Here’s Why The NX Should Use Cartridges

If you’re anything like me, the recent rumour that Nintendo’s NX console will be using cartridges was met with a bemused raise of an eyebrow. In a world of enormous file sizes for games, digital console updates and downloadable titles, the idea of going back to a form of software last seen languishing on dusty Gamestop shelves in 2002 seems backwards.

But Nintendo has always had its eye on fertile blank spots in the market, those that go unnoticed by other first party publishers in their race toward the “future”. In a recent report from DFC Intelligence (via Gamesindustry.biz), the research firm predicted that Nintendo might be capitalising on the “lost console-generation” ...kids.

5 Video Game Collector’s Edition Fails

E3 2016 has fully wrapped up, but it leaves us with a full year's worth of games - and collector's editions - to look forward to. Or not. Getting merchandise for your favorite franchise as part of a collector's edition is exciting, but sometimes that merch is poorly made, and sometimes it's, well, downright terrifying.

Here are five of the worst toys we've seen in video game collector's editions, in no particular order - click right to see them all, and keep scrolling for full descriptions:
