Pokemon FireRed Recreated in Minecraft on Game Boy Advance

Pokemon FireRed is now playable in Minecraft—sort of.

Creator Reqaug designed a version of Pokemon FireRed to run on a virtual Game Boy Advance in Minecraft. It's an impressive feat, but still a work-in-progress. Reqaug created the Pokemon replica using Minecraft's structure blocks, which were introduced in update 1.10.

The map—which took Reqaug three weeks to make—currently allows players to move around and interact with objects. Dialogue and actual Pokemon are still in development, the creator noted. These features are expected to make it into the game as a later update.

YouTuber Gives the Gift of Undertale to the Pope

When you meet the Pope, you're supposed to bring a gift. So, when he met His Holiness recently, one YouTuber decided to give Pope Francis the gift of Undertale.

This wasn't just a snap decision for MatPat, as he explains in the lengthy video below. Thanks, Eurogamer.

"As gamers," writes MatPat, "we know who we are, but every once in a while it's important to let the world know that this community is about more than monster-hunting and level grinding. Undertale is a pretty awesome representation of where we're going as gamers."

Undertale came out last year, and has the honor of being one of IGN's 10/10 games. We said "it's a masterfully crafted experience," and that "it might not be pretty, but Undertale is absolutely a work of art."

46 New Images From Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO has arrived in Australia and New Zealand as part of its global roll-out, so of course IGN's Australian office had to take advantage of our beautiful (read: cold and grey) backyard and catch some Pokemon in the city of Sydney.

The below album offers what I hope is at least a taste of the full game for you - although I spent most of the morning doggedly trying to catch 'em all, I only ended up with 34/250 Pokemon in total (this album could also be called Watch Lucy's Phone Run Out of Battery). It was crazy fun and I tripped over a bunch. Check it out.
