Google Makes It Easier to Read Digital Comics

Comic fans who buy their books via the Google Play Books app will now have a new option for enjoying those books on smaller screens. Today at Comic-Con the company announced a new feature called "Bubble Zoom" that aims to make comics easier to read on smartphones and tablets.

Bubble Zoom is a function that enlarges individual word balloons on the page. Users can cycle through the story one tap at a time, making it much easier to read and navigate one-handed.

The NES Classic Edition Is Adorable in Person

If you've been living under a rock, you should definitely peek out from underneath of it once in a while and check out the NES Classic Edition from Nintendo. The rest of us are already aware of its surprising, and completely awesome, existence.

Nintendo has its all-in-one console on display on the floor of San Diego Comic Con, and we not only got to check it out, we grabbed photos so you can see it for yourself.

Next to the original NES, the difference in size looks almost as though it's the same percentage difference between Mario pre- and post-mushroom. Bigger doesn't equal better, as the old, trusty NES has no on-board storage holding 30 NES classics, as is the case with the Classic Edition.

Pokemon Go Is Doubling Sales At Some Businesses

Pokemon Go’s explosive popularity is having an unexpected and overwhelmingly positive effect on real-world businesses.

For anyone returning from outer space or a weeks-long expedition into the deep wild, Pokemon Go is an augmented-reality (AR) game that requires players to physically explore the real world in order to find and catch Pokemon. Besides trying to catch ‘em all, Pokemon Go players will intentionally seek out PokeStops to stock up on in-game items or gyms to prove their Pokemon prowess. These in-game markers are always located at real-life points of interests, such as murals, churches, or other places of man-made, cultural significance.

Witcher Dev ‘Would Love’ PS4-Xbox One Cross-Network Play for Gwent

The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt is interested in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One cross-play for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game.

Like Rocket League developer Psyonix, CD Projekt has a cross-play solution ready to go; Sony just needs to give the green light. "We are keeping our fingers crossed for Rocket League paving the way," CD Projekt CEO Marcin Iwiński said in a statement issued to IGN. "Our upcoming Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will launch in closed beta for PC and Xbox One later this year, and Microsoft already confirmed Gwent's cross-play feature not only between Xbox One and PC, but also other consoles if they allow it. We also do have a technical solution in place for PS4 and would love to add Sony’s platform to cross-play at the start of open beta. All we need is a green light from Sony."

Someone Has ‘Completed’ the US Version of Pokemon Go

Reddit user ftb_hodor has caught every currently available Pokemon in the United States in Pokemon Go, but their Pokedex isn't quite complete.

According to ftb_hodor's post on Reddit, they have 142 Pokemon caught, and it took them walking 153km to do so. However the actual figure may be greater: "Game recorded 153km, but it's not all that accurate, and according to the Health app i've walked 129.04 miles in that time (almost all of that would be with the game open), or about 200km."

Currently it is thought there are five unreleased Pokemon, namely the three legendary birds, Mewtwo, and Ditto. Plus, there are four Pokemon which are thought to be region specific.
