We Will Meet “The Man in the High Castle” in Season 2

The cast and creators of Amazon's The Man in the High Castle appeared at Comic-Con today to answer questions from fans and to tease the upcoming Season 2 - including a promise from executive producer Isa Dick Hackett that we'll come face to face with the elusive, rabble-rousing Man in the High Castle.

"We are shooting episode seven right now," she told the crowd on hand, "out of ten. And all I can say is that we'll meet the Man in the High Castle this season."

The first season was based on the award-winning alternate history novel her father, Philip K. Dick, wrote. But even still, it was a loose adaptation. "The series doesn't follow the same narrative progression as the book and it's sort of jumped around," she said. "It's always been more of a spiritual guide, and it will continue to be so going forward. Though there were things from the book that we didn't get to in Season 1 that we'll now get to in the second season."

Iron Fist Likely to Have Most Villains of Any Marvel Show

Though they will all eventually team up in The Defenders, Marvel has delved into each of its individual Netflix series with a unique approach. Iron Fist will have some help in that process thanks to the sheer volume of villains apparently being thrown into the mix.

During IGN's San Diego Comic-Con livestream, Marvel's CCO Joe Quesada discussed Marvel's approach to its Netflix shows, noting that, while Iron Fist is further away than this fall's Luke Cage, production is underway on the series that is set to include a healthy dose of the dark side.

"I would say that Iron Fist has probably more villains in our first season than any of our other shows," Quesada said.

The Inhuman/X-Men Conflict Heats Up in Death of X

Civil War II is only three issues old, but fans are already looking ahead to Marvel's next huge event. The Death of X, a four-part mini-series coming in October from co-writers Jeff Lemire and Charles Soule with art by Aaron Kuder and colorist Morry Hollowell, promises to be a massive game-changer as it answers the biggest question stemming from the end of Secret Wars: What the heck happened to Cyclops?

Marvel's Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso joined writers Cullen Bunn and Tom Taylor, along with artist Scott Koblish, to discuss this event as well as several other upcoming storylines. Alonso revealed that the story would fill in the gap between the end of Secret Wars and the current Marvel Now! universe, and showed off some of Kuder's fantastic artwork.

Divergent star Shailene Woodley apparently hadn't heard the rumors that Lionsgate was considering wrapping up the young adult series as a television movie instead of with theatrical release.

News broke yesterday that Lionsgate is in early negotiations on a deal that would have The Divergent Series: Ascendant skip theaters and head straight to television. Woodley, who was on a plane at the time, only found out the news after she touched down. "I'm like 'Whoa, what's going on?" she told Deadline.

Overall Console Sales Were Down for June 2016

According to sales number released by the NPD Group, hardware sales declined by 42% over the same period last year.

In its monthly statement, the NPD Group said "Eighth-generation hardware," meaning Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U, were the "primary driver" of the decline, with sales across the 3 down by 43% over June 2015.

Sales of both hardware and software were down, something the NPD Group attributes to a lack of major title launches such as last year's Batman: Arkham Knight.

Nintendo released a statement saying sales of the 3DS were up 39%, but that increase is month-to-month, rather than year-over-year as is the case with numbers from the NPD Group. Nintendo attributes the increase to the newly discounted 2DS, which can be bought for $80.

Game of Thrones Actor Says Sam Tarly ‘Absolutely Could Be’ The Key to Defeating White Walkers

Winter has come, and with it the threat of the White Walkers looms greater than ever on Game of Thrones. So how might that imminent threat be handled? Well, Samwell Tarly could be the show's secret weapon.

Spoilers for Game of Thrones season 6 follow. Turn back if you have yet to finish the season.

"I think he absolutely could be [the key to defeating the White Walkers," Game of Thrones' John Bradley, who plays Sam Tarly, said during IGN's San Diego Comic-Con livestream.

"There's going to be something" that comes of Sam's time in Oldtown, Bradley said. The actor believes he could either discover something in relation to stopping the White Walkers or in regard to Jon Snow's lineage, which played a major role in the season 6 finale. Sam also has his family's sword Heartsbane with him in Oldtown, which is made from Valyrian steel, one of the few known items that can kill White Walkers.
