Standalone Gwent Game’s Closed Beta Delayed
CD Projekt has announced that the closed beta for upcoming card game Gwent has been delayed until October 25.
The beta was originally scheduled to launch in September. "Unfortunately," said the development team in a statement, "we feel we need some extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing."
"We know we can make a first impression only once, and want to be sure everything is ready before we blast off," the statement continues. "Delivering a good game is more important to us than keeping a deadline. Still, that doesn’t mean we don’t realize that delays can be disappointing, and we apologize for making you wait."
The standalone card game based on the minigame from The Witcher 3 was first announced at E3, and the updates to the game feel great. CD Projekt would love to have PS4 and Xbox One cross-play for the game.

With the revelation that Kurt Russell will be playing the cosmic being Ego (a.k.a. Star-Lord’s dad) in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, it has become increasingly apparent that the MCU is delving deeper and deeper into the vast array of characters at its disposal. But not just that; in the case of Ego, director James Gunn is also presenting another god-like being which reorients the Marvel movie universe once again. While we started with regular old human Tony Stark and his fancy robotic suit back in 2008, our MCU heroes now live among virtual deities.
Ego is a living planet in the comics -- yes, you read that right -- and apparently able to create physical forms as needed in Guardians 2. Hence, he became Kurt Russell to procreate with Star-Lord’s mom (and I wouldn’t be surprised if he turns into a planet at some point in Vol. 2 as well). But there are plenty of other god-like beings floating around the MCU now, not to mention things like the Infinity Stones, which offer their users untold powers. And, possibly, in the case of the not yet found Soul Stone, they can also prove the existence of the immortal spirit itself.
We Sing Announced for PS4, Xbox One
A new version of multiplayer karaoke game, We Sing has been announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game features support for up to four USB mics (or eight via a companion app which turns your smartphone into a mic) and comes equipped with 30 songs and their respective music videos.
The full tracklist hasn’t been revealed as of yet, but we do know it’ll contain Dancing Queen by Abba, Let’s Dance by David Bowie, Cake by DNCE, Stitches by Shawn Mendes, Chandelier by Sia, and See You Again by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth.
We Sing also comes with six modes, for single-play, co-op, or versus, along with online leaderboard support for all the would-be singers out there. If you fancy a break from testing your vocal cords, there’s a jukebox mode for watching the included music videos.
How PS4 Neo Could Change No Man’s Sky
Sean Murray has discussed the implications of using the upcoming PS4 upgrade, codenamed Neo, to power No Man's Sky.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Murray explains that the Neo - which will reportedly be revealed on September 7 - would "fundamentally change the experience" of the space exploration game.
The key seems to be in the way the game is created, as compared to most others:

Violent four-player beat-‘em-up Mother Russia Bleeds is coming to PC, Mac, and Linux on September 5.
Mother Russia Bleeds is set in an alternate version of the USSR and follows the exploits of a crew of imprisoned street fighters who must battle an oppressive criminal authority while overcoming forced drug addictions. It’s kind of like Streets of Rage if it were made by Rob Zombie.
There’s also a special edition of the game available which comes with the soundtrack, a documentary called Behind the Schemes (very clever!), and a second copy of the game for users to gift or sell. All pre-orders offer a 10 percent discount off the usual price.
Post-launch plans see the game getting a versus mode for head-to-head fighting, and a boss rush mode.
Final Just Cause 3 DLC Out Tomorrow
Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have announced Just Cause 3's third and final DLC pack, Bavarium Sea Heist, will drop on August 11 for Air, Land & Sea expansion pass holders.
For everyone else, you'll have to wait an extra week until August 18. The standalone DLC costs $6 / € 6 / £5, or the full expansion pass is still available for $25 / €25 / £20.
Bavarium Sea Heist sees you braving the waters of West Medici in your new heavily armored rocket boat, where you'll be infiltrating Stingray, a research facility holding the strongest weapon ever created by the Eden Corporation.
There's a brand new location to explore, new missions, a new challenge type, and you'll be able to wield the Eden Spark lightning gun.
All-Star Batman Kicks Off with Surprise Twists

New Ghost Rider Comic Coming This Year
A new Ghost Rider comic is in the works.
As TVGuide reports, the new comic series will be written by Felipe Smith, while Interior art will be handled by Danilo Beyruth.
The latest incarnation of Ghost Rider, which debuted in 2014, was conceived by both Smith and Tradd Moore, the latter of which will be providing a backstory in the first issue of the new run.

Batman is one of the great roles in our popular culture. Grief, deception, that undertow of madness - it's Hamlet, but in a cape and with greater conviction.
Several actors have played the role, but Kevin Conroy has been Batman for 24 years. According to my crude IMDb reckoning, he's played the character 258 times.* For many, myself included, Conroy is Batman. Whenever I read an issue of Batman, I hear his voice.
More actors will assume the role – currently, Ben Affleck and Troy Baker have taken on the character in other high-profile productions – but what can they learn from the man who has been Batman for nearly a quarter of a century?
