Spider-Man Gets a Swanky New Costume
Spider-Man got yet another makeover in the latest issue of Spider-Man/Deadpool #8.

The current storyline has taken a dark turn, with Deadpool killing Peter Parker in an earlier issue and bringing him back to life. While dead, Peter had a brief run-in with Mephisto, the villain who caused him so much misery in the past by orchestrating the events of One More Day. This issue shows Peter remembering Mephisto's warning at the end of that story, suggesting that he's finally starting to recall his life before he traded away his marriage to save Aunt May.
Ghostbusters Could Lose Sony $70 Million
A sequel to Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot is looking unlikely, as an underwhelming performance at the box office could end up costing Sony $70 million.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ghostbusters current global earnings are just shy of $180 million, and while it still has yet to open in a few more countries, it isn't expected to reach any higher than $225 million. Couple that with its reported $144 million production costs and marketing budget, the studio's $300 million break-even figure is pretty much out of reach.
According to box office analyst Jeff Bock, "Ghostbusters is on ice until further notice," as he doesn't believe the creative team behind the 2016 reboot will be up for "slogging out another one when the reception to the first one was so mediocre."
A Whole Lot Of People Are Playing Rainbow Six Siege
According to a document released by Ubisoft, Rainbow Six Siege's "daily player total is higher today than it was when we first shipped the game nine months ago."
The actual number of daily active users is 1.26 million, and the spike comes on the heels of the new content update, Skull Rain, which went live last week.
The document goes on to say that starting today, the developers will begin banning "thousands" of players who have been cheating, as detected by Battle-Eye, their recently implemented client-side anti-cheat system.
"We invest in Rainbow Six Siege as we would invest in our own home - we check the pipes, the foundations and everything else," said creative director Xavier Marquis. "That's because we are here to stay."
The Big Bang Theory Likely Will Continue Past Season 10
The Big Bang Theory will likely continue on beyond its upcoming tenth season, according to CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller.
Today during the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour, Geller was asked about a potential eleventh season, to which he replied, "We are very confident that everyone involved wants more Big Bang past year ten."
Referring to the studio who produces Big Bang, Gellar added, "I know Warner Bros. will make those deals."
Back in 2014, The Big Bang Theory -- which remains the highest-rated TV comedy -- was renewed for three seasons at once, up through Season 10.
Uncharted, Star Wars Director to Deliver PAX West Keynote
Amy Hennig, former Uncharted series creative director and current senior creative director for Visceral Games' Star Wars project, will give the PAX West opening keynote at this year's convention.
The expo's full schedule of panels and speakers, meanwhile, will be available via the official guidebook app, available through the PAX Website, later this week.
Hennig is currently overseeing the development of Visceral's currently untitled Star Wars game, which is due out in 2018. Though few concrete details have been revealed about the game, Hennig did offer some hints of the "original Star Wars story with new characters" that the studio is working on during this year's Star Wars Celebration.

Superwoman #1 introduced a brand new heroine to the DC Universe this week.

The big surprise in this issue is that there's actually more than one Superwoman. Because Lois Lane and Lana Lang were both present for the death of Superman in Superman #52, they both absorbed his powers. But where Lois has a pretty traditional assortment of powers (strength, flight, etc.), Lana seems to take after Superman's electric phase from the late '90s.
Wrestling Wrap Up: Lesnar Needs to Start Caring About Orton
Sure, it's amusing to see Brock act all aloof and Brock-y. We know he's a distant, prickly a-hole suffering from what's probably a severe and crippling social anxiety disorder that prevents him from bonding with anything other than the wide open spaces of Minnesota isolation, so to pretend that he's something else would be dishonest. I get that.
And yes, it's dumb for the WWE to pretend like there's actually any viable, breathing history between Brock and Randy Orton. This upcoming SummerSlam bout is nowhere close to being a "15 years in the making" event. They trained together, but then the relationship was nothing but a flat can of Sierra Mist from there on out. So to make this match feel like something other than a random pairing of grapplers with no current storyline or feud is a strange stretch.
Ocean’s 8 Adds Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, More
Deals are close to completion to add the likes of Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Awkwafina to the cast of Ocean's 8.
This news comes via Deadline, which also reports Warner Bros is planning an October start date in New York for the filming of the movie, which will feature an all-female main cast.
