iD Still Doesn’t Know if Quake Champions Will Be Free-to-Play
Creative director of iD Software, Tim Willits says the developer still hasn't decided whether Quake Champions will be a free-to-play game.
Despite a glut of new details about the game emerging at QuakeCon last week, the upcoming reboot of the classic shooter series is still an uncertain pitch, it seems:
“I can definitely say that
is a really hard problem," said Willits in a PC Gamer interview. "And so for us we’re trying to figure out exactly what people want more of, and how they perceive it. And I’m not even trying to be cagey! It’s not like we know and just aren’t trying to tell anybody, we don’t know and we’re still trying to figure this out.”
Io is Planning 3 Seasons of Hitman
Io Interactive is planning to have three seasons of Hitman, however Season 2 has not yet been announced.
This news comes from the official Hitman Twitter account in response to a fan question about a second season. In addition, the account said remaking old levels for the new game is "always a possibility," but for now the team is focusing on creating new content.
Io has been consistently releasing new content for Hitman since the release of the first episode in March. Gary Busey was an elusive target for a time thanks to a fan vote, and there were also a number of bonus missions which remixed some existing levels.

Available for all three of the game's formats, the item's listing is pretty specific: "Battlefield 1 Exclusive Collector's Edition - Does Not Include Game".
So what does a game-less video game collector's edition include? Let's see (I'll help annotate):
- 14" statue (not the game)
- Exclusive steelbook (not the game)

No Man’s Sky Day 1 Update Details are Extensive
Hello Games’ Sean Murray has provided details on the first update for No Man’s Sky via a new blog on the game’s official site.
Murray noted that most members of the Hello Games team were back in the office the day after No Man’s Sky went gold “five or six weeks ago” and have been working on refining the game ever since.
“We’re already proud of what we put on a disk, but if we had time, why not continue to update it?” wrote Murray.
The improvements and additions Hello Games has prepared are extensive and include new, unique “paths” you can follow throughout the game, changes to the universe’s generation algorithm that will allow for galaxies to be 10 times larger than they were previously, and a new atmospheric system that will mean more varied skies. The full list of contents in update 1.03 can be read in full here. The update will be “the first of many” and Murray expects that future updates like these will continue to be free.
