MLB The Show Studio Hit By Layoffs
Update: We have received the following statement from Sony:
"We can confirm there has been a reduction in headcount at San Diego Studio. The teams working on MLB The Show, Drawn to Death and Guns Up! have not been affected. We continually evaluate teams and programs at SIE Worldwide Studios to ensure we have the proper resources in place to deliver innovative products within a competitive landscape. As projects are completed, it is natural to review and restructure teams around current and future needs. We wish our departing team members success as they pursue new opportunities and we have nothing but heart-felt thanks for their contributions to PlayStation."

10 Best Spidey Villains Who Need a Movie
Spider-Man has one of the all-time great rogues galleries, rivaled only by heroes like Batman and the X-Men. Yet even after five big-screen adventures (and a guest role in Captain America: Civil War), it feels like Hollywood has barely scratched the surface when it comes to Spidey's enemies.
Hopefully Marvel Studios will make some serious headway over the next few years. Spider-Man: Homecoming will finally give villains like Vulture and Shocker their Hollywood debuts, but that still leaves a great many villains waiting for their turn in the spotlight. Check out our slideshow below spotlighting 10 classic Spider-Man foes who deserve to appear on the big screen.
We've seen icons like Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus in theaters, but will we ever see villains like Hobgoblin, Mysterio or Shriek? Here's hoping.

Star Wars: Turner Signs $250 Million Rights Deal
Time Warner division Turner has secured the cable rights to Disney's collection of Star Wars films.
According to Variety, Turner signed a deal with Disney that industry sources estimate to be no less than $250 million. This partnership grants Turner the basic cable rights to 10 Star Wars films (four of which are still on the horizon), with a separate agreement being made with 20th Century Fox for the original film, A New Hope.
In addition to Turner, USA Network and FX Networks were also in contention for the deal with Disney.
The terms of the deal grant Turner a license that runs through at least 2022, incorporating the four yet-to-be released Star Wars films that are part of the package. Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was released to record-breaking numbers last year, reportedly boasted a licensing fee of somewhere between $35 million and $40 million. The four films still on the horizon, including Rogue One and Episode VIII, are said to have each been priced similarly.
