Doctor Strange Will Appear in Avengers: Infinity War

Benedict Cumberbatch's turn as the Sorcerer Supreme will definitely not be his last, with Doctor Strange now confirmed for an appearance in 2018's The Avengers: Infinity War.

Talking to Empire magazine (via The Express), Cumberbatch explained that the next step for his character will be the “logistical challenge of aligning his schedule with those of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany”.

Given that those actors play Iron Man, Thor, Scarlet Witch and The Vision respectively, and that Infinity War is the only film they'll be sharing in the not-too-distant future, we have our confirmation.

Battlefield 1 Story Won’t Be One Singular Campaign

Battlefield 1's newly-revealed single player mode will take the form of an anthology of short stories, rather than the expected single character arc.

Announced on the Battlefield blog, DICE explained that the game will feature multiple "War Stories: personal stories focusing on different protagonists with unique backgrounds and skills."

We've seen many, or even all of those protagonists in yesterday's single-player trailer (above), including the young soldier, Danny Edwards assigned to a British tank crew in a section titled 'Through Mud and Blood'.

"Our protagonist has no experience of these modern war vehicles and needs to learn – and learn fast," reads the blog. "Our hero is also struggling with earning the trust of his fellow crew members, so there’s a social dynamic in the story, making the whole thing something personal.

This lines up with what Kotaku has reportedly heard from its sources. In addition to a PC version and the added help of Vicarious Visions, the outlet has heard that High Moon and others are helping out on the upcoming sequel, which is aiming to feel like an entirely new game.

Elon Musk Outlines Plans to Colonize Mars

SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk plans to have people living on Mars within decades.

During a presentation earlier today, titled Making Humans a Multiplanetary Species, Musk outlined SpaceX's plan to accomplish the long-dreamed-of feat of colonizing Mars. The company's first manned mission will use its Interplanetary Transport System, which it test fired yesterday, to send 100 people on an 80-day trip to the Red Planet.

Those who first arrive on Mars will be tasked with learning to grow resources on the planet's notoriously harsh surface, as well as harvesting materials to create the fuel needed for the return mission. However, the first group shouldn't expect to utilize that fuel, as Musk said "the risk of fatality will be very high" for those on the first journeys. Candidates should be "prepared to die," he added.

Luke Cage Shows a Different Side of the Marvel Hero Than We Saw in Jessica Jones

Marvel’s Luke Cage debuts its 13-episode season this coming Friday on Netflix, as the third Netflix/Marvel series so far puts the focus on Mike Colter’s bulletproof hero, after his debut in Jessica Jones.

I sat down with Colter and Luke Cage executive producer/showrunner Cheo Coker to talk about using Luke’s prior depiction in Jessica as a springboard, the appeal of the character and more.

IGN: Cheo, at what point in the Jessica Jones process did you become involved and begin developing the Luke Cage series while they were also making Jessica?

Coker: I think Mike had just been cast, and, like I’ve said before, I thank

Melissa Rosenberg every time I see her for casting Mike as Luke, because he is literally Luke Cage. I mean he isn’t Luke Cage… but he is Luke Cage! So my thing about it is, I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and a better lead actor and character. Mike is so incredibly talented, you can throw anything at him, and he can do it. And he can do it on the fly. He is the perfect person to build the show around.
