X-Men’s Apocalypse Prompted The Mummy to Alter Character’s Look

The titular villain in the upcoming The Mummy reboot originally looked identical to X-Men's Apocalypse.

In an interview with CinemaBlend, The Mummy director Alex Kurtzman revealed that, after watching X-Men: Days of Future Past, he had to abandon his initial male version for the Mummy. Now, the monster is Ahmanet, played Star Trek Beyond's Sofia Boutella.

Kurtzman wanted the character to have a skin pigmentation, which would've made him a bullied outcast. That way, the director wanted audiences to more easily sympathize with the Mummy. Apocalypse is given an near-identical background in Days of Future Past.

WW2 Shooter Days of War Hits Early Access in January

Developer Driven Arts has announced today its multiplayer WWII shooter Days of War will be available via Steam Early Access in January, 2017.

Days of War will debut in Early Access with US and German forces, plus four maps, for $24.99 (€24.99, £19.99). Depp Once Again Tops Most Overpaid Actors List

Johnny Depp has topped Forbes' list of Hollywood's most overpaid actors for the second year in a row.

The actor, who starred in Disney's big summer flop Alice Through the Looking Glass, returned $2.80 for each $1 he was paid, according to Forbes' Top 10 list.

Forbes compiled their list of the 10 most overpaid actors by analyzing the last three major live-action films (released on at least 2,000 screens) prior to June 2016, calculated the operating income of said films and then divided that by the actor's salary for those films to calculate the final return on investment.

Westworld: All the Hints at the Man in Black Reveal

Full spoilers for Westworld continue below. Read on at your own risk.

The Man in Black was always going to be a key player in Westworld, but the Season 1 finale, confirmed he’s actually two key players when we learned definitively William and the Man in Black are the same person. Westworld had been foreshadowing the reveal since the beginning, and the clues were there for those willing to look.
