Mark Wahlberg Drops Out of the Uncharted Movie
Mark Wahlberg has confirmed he's no longer attached to the Uncharted movie.
While doing an interview with We Got This Covered for his upcoming film Patriots Days, Wahlberg said he took himself out of the running to star as Nathan Drake. The actor was rumored to play the treasure hunter for the past five years.
"As of now, no, I'm not attached," Wahlberg told We Got This Covered.
There were questions about whether or not there was still a chance Wahlberg might be involved with the film after Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) was brought in to direct the long-gestating project earlier this year. Wahlberg first talked about potentially being in Uncharted a few years back when David O. Russell was still set to direct.

Marvel’s Joe Quesada Makes Directorial Debut with Slingshot
Marvel legend Joe Quesada will be making his directorial debut behind the camera of the first episode of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD's new digital series, Slingshot, IGN can exclusively reveal. The six-episode series focuses on what happened to SHIELD character Yo-Yo Rodriguez, aka Slingshot, during the break between Season 3 and Season 4.
Watch a behind-the-scenes featurette about Quesada's involvement in the series below:
"Joe Quesada is one of the legendary Shaolin ninja priests of Marvel. We've been friends for a long time, and it's really a treat to get him to be out here and to get to work with him the first time he directs," said Clark Gregg in the above video.
Quesada story-boarded the first episode like he would a comic, he explained, because that's how he is able to visually convey his ideas for shots. "The same rules of storytelling, whether it film or television, apply directly to comic books when you do it right," he said.

Battlefield’s New Update Brings Along a Grenade Crossbow
A new update for Battlefield 1 is coming tomorrow, December 13 for some players, and brings with it a range of gameplay tweaks, fixes, and additions.
The big addition is the new map called Giant's Shadow, which is based on the Battle of the Selle. It features a large crashes airship, and takes place along the river banks and open ground surrounding the Cateau-Wassigny railway. It'll be available from tomorrow for Premium Pass owners and people who pre-ordered the game, but everyone else will have to wait until December 20.
A new support class gadget called the grenade crossbow is exactly what it sounds like (brilliant). Plus, there's a new spectator mode where you can join a match as an observer. You can switch between first- and third-person views, or even switch to free cam to get a view from wherever you'd like.
Nintendo Experimented With a Minecraft-Like Game for N64
The creator of the most successful game character of all time says he came close to making something like one of the most successful games of all time.
In an interview with Glixel, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto explained that he admires Minecraft "from the perspective of the fact that I really feel like that's something we should have made".
The Mario creator said: "We had actually done a lot of experiments that were similar to that back in the N64 days and we had some designs that were very similar."
It sounds as though the idea didn't meet Miyamoto's notoriously high bar for quality, however - which seems to be why he's impressed by Minecraft's success in that department: "It's really impressive to me to see how they've been able to take that idea and turn it into a product."
