TWD’s Midseason Finale Was Its Second Lowest Rated

The latest episode of The Walking Dead, "Hearts Still Beating," was the second-lowest-rated midseason finale in the series' history.

The episode had a 5.1 rating among adults 18-49, topping only the fall finale of The Walking Dead's second season. For comparison, Season 6's midseason finale, "Start to Finish," posted a 7.0 among the same demographic, according to TV by the Numbers.

With 10.58 million viewers, Sunday's episode was also the least-watched midseason finale since Season 3.

After kicking off Season 7 with the series' second-most-watched episode ever, viewership for the AMC series has declined considerably. While The Walking Dead's viewership still dwarves that of many other shows, Season 7 has seen the fewest amount of viewers since Season 3.

Salem Ending With Season 3

WGN America has opted not to order a fourth season of the supernatural drama Salem.

The show's cancellation will make the last episode of the third season the series finale, according to Deadline.

"We knew this would be the third and final season and were able to craft an exciting climax to Mary’s transformational saga,” said series creators Brannon Braga and Adam Simon.

Salem originally debuted in 2014 and was WGN America's first original scripted series. Its premiere drew in 1.5 million viewers, but its current third season averages between 200,000 and 300,000 viewers for live and same day viewership, according to Deadline.

SpaceX Delays First Manned Flight to 2018

The first manned flight from SpaceX won't take off until 2018, a delay of about a year.

The Denver Post reports that Elon Musk's company has pushed back the manned Dragon launch to the second quarter of 2018. Originally, the flight was scheduled for spring 2017.

The delay might be linked to problematic loading of supercooled fuels. That was apparently the cause of the unmanned Falcon 9 explosion in September.

Back in 2014, Musk originally talked about the Dragon spacecraft carrying people to orbit as soon as late 2016. And he also has plans of colonizing Mars in the future.

Overwatch’s ‘Winter Wonderland’ Event Now Live

Overwatch's latest seasonal event, the holiday-themed Winter Wonderland, has rolled out to players starting today and will end on January 2, 2017.

If you're familiar with Overwatch events then you know the drill. All earned or purchased loot boxes during the event have been replaced with Winter Loot Boxes housing over 100 appropriately themed cosmetic items including icons, sprays, victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, and skins like the Torbjorn Santa skin and Winston amazingly imagined as a yeti.

Additionally, the Winter Wonderland event is adding a new brawl: Mei’s Snowball Offensive. The brawl is a six-versus-six, single-elimination mode where everyone plays a modified version of Mei. Her weapon no longer sprays frost or fires icicles, but instead shoots one-hit-kill snowballs, and must be reloaded by finding piles of snow around the map. In this brawl Mei's ultimate has similarly changed, turning her blaster into a semi-automatic, continuously firing version when activated.

Ben Affleck Talks Batman Solo Film Status

It seems Ben Affleck is in no rush to make his solo Batman movie, as the script for the film is still not finished.

While doing an interview with The New York Times during a Facebook Live Event, Affleck talked about his career and why he decided to star as Batman in the DC Cinematic Universe. The discussion eventually turned to the upcoming solo Batman movie, titled The Batman, and how its script is coming along. According to Affleck, he doesn't want to get the film out just to meet a release date.

"I’m a real believer in not doing, not reverse engineering projects to meet a window or a date, but rather like when you get the right story or you get the right idea or you get the right thing, then you make the movie," Affleck told The New York Times.
