Microsoft Investing in Making More First-Party Games
Microsoft will invest more in software and services in the near future, with a view to making more first-party games, according to Xbox chief Phil Spencer.
Speaking to Bloomberg, Spencer said: “We need to grow, and I look forward to doing that. Our ability to go create content has to be one of our strengths. We haven’t always invested at the same level. We’ve gone through ups and downs in the investment."
PlayStation VR Skyrim Bundle Announced
Sony has announced the PlayStation VR Skyrim bundle, which will launch on November 17.
As detailed on PlayStation Blog, the bundle comes packaged with the PSVR headset, a copy of Skyrim VR which features the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn add-ons, a PlayStation Camera, and two PlayStation Move controllers. Also featured is an updated PSVR Demo Disc that includes demos from 13 PSVR titles.

GameStop to Launch Unlimited Used Game Rental Service
GameStop has announced a new unlimited used game rental service, and it's launching next week.
According to an advertisement posted on ResetEra, the subscription service, called Power Pass, lets you rent a used game, return it, and then rent another title as often as you'd like over a six-month period. At the end of this six-month period, you'll get to keep any one of the games you rented.

Red Sonja Film in Development from Expendables Producer
The long-gestating Red Sonja remake is back on track.
Deadline reports The Expendables producer Millennium Media will produce the project, which is set to serve as the start of a new franchise. The film is currently being fast-tracked, and a writer will be hired soon.
Millennium's Avi Lerner and Joe Gatta, as well as Cinelou's Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon are producing the movie. Luke Lieberman, Red Sonja's current rights holder, will be an executive producer.
