Year 1 - Xavier and Magneto's Alliance

Last week's House of X #2 dropped one of the biggest twists in X-Men history, as we learned Moira MacTaggert is a mutant with the power to die and start her life over with all her previous memories intact. After numerous failed attempts at steering the mutant race toward a brighter future, Moira has thrown caution to the wind and allowed Charles Xavier to enter her mind and witness all ten of her lives for himself. Prey 2 Audio Logs Reveal Where Tommy’s Story Might Have Gone

Newly released audio logs from the cancelled sequel to 2006's Prey have shone light on the game that never was.

Available to listen to here courtesy of digital games curator Andrew Borman, the logs are voiced by Prey 2's lead character, Killian Samuels. It suggests he would have teamed up with the Tommy - the protagonist from the first game - to escape Exodus.

"I'm not alone," Samuels tells the log. "There's another living human on this godforsaken rock. To tell the truth, I thought I was having another breakdown at first. He walked right up to me on the street, right onto the sea of alien faces and just held out his hand. 'I'm Tommy,' he said. Like it was the most natural thing in the world. Strange to hear real English again instead of the auto translator. I'd almost forgotten what it sounded like."

Jurassic World: The Ride Brings the Movies to Life in a Whole New Way

Jurassic Park has been a beloved staple of the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park since 1996 - almost as long as the franchise has existed - so when news broke that the original Jurassic Park ride was headed for extinction to make way for a Jurassic World revamp (at least in Los Angeles - the original ride is still operating at Universal's Orlando and Osaka parks), some longtime fans were madder than a T-rex trying to land a high five.

But even die-hard dino admirers could admit that the aging attraction needed an upgrade, given its outdated animatronics and (now depressingly retro) '90s design - especially with a new generation of moviegoers flocking to the franchise thanks to Colin Trevorrow's blockbuster Jurassic World and its sequel, Fallen Kingdom.

Multiple Sexual Misconduct Allegations Rock the Fighting Game Community Following Evo 2019

The fighting game community is reeling today after several accusations of sexual misconduct were made against different prominent members of the community.

Several Allegations Regarding Sexual Misconduct Have Come to Light

The allegations began last night when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player Davon “Promaelia” Crawley published a confession on Twitter. Crawley admitted to two separate occasions of violating “the personal boundaries of two adults through uninvited sexual contact” while intoxicated under the effects of alcohol.

“There was never any retribution, but sexual assault doesn’t just vanish from people’s minds,” Crawley wrote. “Especially from the minds of the people who see me every week, who knew that every month something new popped up on the timeline while I remained unaffected – it could only go unaddressed for so long.”

Destiny 2 Devs on Positive Impact of Microtransactions

Bungie detailed the impact their in-game microtransactions have on Destiny 2 itself, sharing that certain modes would not have been funded without support from the Eververse store.

As explained by the "Destiny Dev Team" in a Bungie blog post, discussions around changing the strategy for microtransactions came up often last year.

"As some folks have smartly pointed out, MTX is a big part of our business being a live game," the post reads. "I'm not going to say 'MTX funds the studio' or 'pays for projects like Shadowkeep' -- it doesn't wholly fund either of those things. But it does help fund ongoing development of Destiny 2, and allows us to fund creative efforts we otherwise couldn't afford."
