20 TV Shows We Can’t Wait to Watch in 2020
The new year brings a new slate of TV shows for your viewing pleasure, so we've rounded up 20 of the biggest, most-anticipated series that are expected to premiere in 2020, just so you can get a head start on your watchlist.
This is far from an exhaustive list - in case you haven't noticed, there's a lot of TV these days - but a selection of new series that are on our radar that we're fairly confident will premiere this year (even if their release dates haven't been confirmed yet) and we think our audience might be interested in too. (High-profile genre series like Showtime's Halo adaptation and Amazon's Lord of the Rings have been slated to arrive in 2021, if you were curious why they're not included.)

ICYMI: Sony’s New PlayStation Controller Design Has Back Buttons
Sony received patent approval for a new PlayStation DualShock controller earlier this week. The patent was discovered on the World Intellectual Property Organization database and features at least one visibly identifiable new feature.
As reported by Polygon, the patent for the new DualShock was approved on December 26. The front of the controller is similar to the existing PlayStation 4 DualShock, but it also differs from the new PlayStation controller patent that was uncovered in November. For example, there’s no PlayStation home button on the new patent.

Kevin Feige Explains How Harry Potter Film Franchise Influenced MCU
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has opened up about how the Harry Potter film franchise influenced his approach to storytelling in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Recently appearing as a guest speaker at the New York Film Academy, Feige asserted that his experience watching the Harry Potter movies ultimately helped him to devise a formula for the MCU, as he noted the importance of balancing fan expectations while crafting a universal story that appeals to a wider audience, including casual moviegoers.
"I always default to my experience watching Harry Potter movies," Feige explained. "I never read the Harry Potter books. My kids aren't old enough and aren't into it yet, and I didn't read them when they first came out, but I went to see every Harry Potter movie opening weekend. I saw it and I enjoyed it and then I forgot all about it and didn't think about it again until the next Harry Potter movie came out. And those movies were so well made because I could follow it all. I could follow it, I could track it, occasionally I have to go 'Who was that?' but for the most part I could totally track it."

Marvel Boss Confirms First Transgender Character Is Coming to the MCU
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that the MCU will be getting its first transgender character "very soon."
In a recent appearance as a guest speaker at the New York Film Academy, Feige discussed Marvel's aspirations to include greater LGBTQ+ representation in the franchise, as one student inquired about whether the studio had any plans to add more diverse superheroes to their upcoming roster of movies, specifically referencing transgender characters.
"Yes, absolutely yes," Feige said. "Very soon. In a movie we're shooting right now."
While Feige did not specify which movie the character will appear in, Marvel's Black Widow and The Eternals are both currently in active development, as these are the first two titles set to launch the Phase 4 of the MCU later this year.
