Avengers: Endgame Filmmakers Can’t Agree on the Ending

SPOILERS AHEAD for Avengers: Endgame.

The ending of Avengers: Endgame saw Steve Rogers/Captain America going back in time and returning all the past Infinity Stones to the moment they were taken and then spending his days dancing with the love of his life Peggy Carter, finally living the life he was denied.

When he returns to the rest of our heroes, he is an old man. That obviously raises the question of where he actually spent all those years. Was it in the MCU's main timeline's past or an alternate one?

It's such a great question that Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely can't seem to agree on which one is actually true.

Which Avenger Has the Most Screen Time?

If you were to guess who has the most screen time in the MCU, would you have guessed the record holder is Tony Stark?

His words are prophetic -- this is the path that he started us on -- that he started the MCU on. Sure, Captain America fought the Red Skull in the 1940s and Nick Fury met Carol Danvers in the 1990s, but the MCU as we know it all started with Tony Stark in 2008’s Iron Man.

From building his own suit in a dark cave, to becoming the world’s first superhero, Tony Stark has been the face of the Avengers for almost a decade. His memorable declaration “I am Iron Man” set the stage for all 22 films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These 22 films have to a close with Avengers: Endgame. Tony has been at the center of it all, and his screen time up through Avengers: Infinity War proves that as he clocks in at whopping 322 minutes.

Borderlands 3 Is Moving On From Handsome Jack, And That’s a Good Thing

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel, and Tales From the Borderlands.

In 2012, Gearbox introduced Handsome Jack, the smarmy, well-coiffed Hyperion President and chief antagonist of Borderlands 2. Jack was a constant, taunting presence as players fought wave after wave of EXP Loaders and Bullymongs, and at this point, the Borderlands faithful have witnessed the life, death, and resurrection of the psychotic CEO.

Admittedly, it’s hard to keep a good villain down. Jack has resurfaced in every game since his demise in Borderlands 2 - and it’s easy to understand the draw. A character as funny and self-referential as Handsome Jack is surely a welcome mouthpiece for writers who likewise want to appear funny and self-referential.

The 4 Worst Places to Be After the Events of Avengers: Endgame

Warning: Avengers: Endgame spoilers ahead! Back out if you haven't seen the movie yet!

Avengers: Infinity War ends with Thanos snapping his fingers and making half of all living things in the universe disappear. In Endgame, which sees a time jump to five years later, the good guys prevail, defeat Thanos, and create a way for all the snapped people to return to earth presumably in the exact spot where they first vanished. That’s great news for guys like Spider-Man and Black Panther who showed up safely back on Titan and Wakanda, respectively, but for the average person on earth, this could definitely cause some... problems. Here are four very bad places to return from the snap.

What Did Jon Actually Yell in The Battle of Winterfell?

Season 8, Episode 3 of Game of Thrones "The Long Night" centers on the Battle of Winterfell, and although the sequence of events seemed clear, some fans are convinced not all is at it appears.

Warning: full SPOILERS for "The Long Night"!

At the end of the episode, Arya shattered expectations - and the Night King - when she stabbed him in the tummy with her Valyrian steel dagger. Meanwhile, Jon was… screaming at a dragon. And the internet immediately savaged him for doing next to nothing while Arya saved the day.

However, some fans claim that Jon was actually doing something very important. Reddit user Applesoapp claims that Jon was actually screaming “Gooo! Go! Go!” which would imply Jon saw Arya making her sprint into the Godswood and was cheering her on while screaming to distract Viserion. This would make Jon's actions seem less futile and more purposeful.
