Every Power Ranger Ever Assembles in ‘Shattered Grid’

Power Rangers: Shattered Grid is the first-ever Power Rangers comic book event, one that will encompass every Power Ranger ever. Kicking off in the landmark Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25 by Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo, the story sees Lord Drakkon - an evil version of Tommy Oliver from another dimension with the power of both the Green and White Rangers - spearheading an attack on the Morphin Grid. This threatens every Power Ranger that ever was, prompting numerous teams from over the years to team up to stop Drakkon. This event coincides with the Power Rangers 25th anniversary.

“Call me sentimental, but I love anniversaries. Over the last two years, I’ve been weaving threads in the pages of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, all leading to the 25th anniversary of the franchise,” Higgins said in a press release from publisher BOOM! Studios. “‘Shattered Grid’ is a massive Power Rangers event that’s both a celebration of the property and also the largest comics story I’ve ever tackled. Lord Drakkon’s plan is so much bigger than our Rangers, our world, and even our universe. The Grid is shattering, every Power Ranger in all of existence is at risk, and it’s going to take more than just the Mighty Morphin team to

Disney Removing Frozen Short From Coco Screenings

The Frozen short Olaf's Frozen Adventure will soon no longer play before Coco screenings.

Entertainment Weekly reports Disney is removing the 22-minute short on December 8. Since Coco opened on November 22, audiences have had to sit through roughly 40 minutes of previews, trailers, and the short before finally being able to watch Pixar's latest film.

While some have suggested removing Olaf's Frozen Adventure is a response to poor audience reception, Disney has since released a statement saying the short was always meant to have a limited theatrical run.

"This was always promoted as a limited run so it’s not really a story — the end of our Olaf theatrical play is coming next week,” a Disney representative told EW. “All our ads and messaging called it as such.”

How Han Solo’s Death Affects Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Two years ago, Star Wars: The Force Awakens delivered one major blow to the Star Wars canon when Kylo Ren killed Han Solo. With the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi picking up not long after the events of the previous film, the impact of Han Solo's death will have major resonance on at least some of the characters who knew him best.

"Rey at least is very much affected by it," Daisy Ridley said at the Star Wars: The Last Jedi press conference. "Rey is a character that's been alone for a really long time, and she's really open to love and friendship, so Finn and BB-8 come along and it's amazing, and then Han, without trying to, she seeks something from him because there's an intimacy and there's a sort of figure of something she's never dreamed of for her that gets snatched away. Everything's new to her, so she's understanding things in a different way.

Rian Johnson’s Plans for a New Star Wars Trilogy

There's no greater vote of confidence for director Rian Johnson's work with Star Wars: The Last Jedi than the fact he's already been announced as the director of a new standalone Star Wars trilogy set in a previously unexplored corner of the galaxy.

But just how much flexibility will he really have to "introduce new characters from a corner of the galaxy that Star Wars lore has never before explored," as the announcement of the new trilogy promised? Can this new series of films really extricate itself from the legacy of the Skywalkers? Johnson promises that is absolutely the intent.
