Microsoft recently enabled pre-loading for Forza Motorsport 7 ahead of the game's launch next week, and many users attempting to pre-load Forza 7 from the Windows Store have experienced a download error, resulting in hours of lost progress.

In an official statement made to US Gamer, a Microsoft representative said Forza developer Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft are looking into the problem. For users with data caps the issue is even greater, deterring them from retrying the download for fear of losing all their monthly data.
