Call of Duty PSVR Experience Free at Infinite Warfare Launch

Jackal Assault, the first Call of Duty VR experience, will be available for free for PlayStation 4 players when Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches, Activision revealed today.

The announcement was made during the Call of Duty XP 2016 keynote, which also included the world premiere of Infinite Warfare's multiplayer. Jackal Assault will be playable for those in attendance at Call of Duty XP and then offered as a free bonus playable with PlayStation VR when Infinite Warfare launches on November 4.

Jackal Assault places players inside the cockpit of the fighter jets known as Jackals, which appear in Infinite Warfare.

Activision also announced at the keynote that an Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta, coming first to PS4, will launch in October, as well as that all 16 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare maps will be remastered and available before the end of 2016.

Narcos: Let’s Discuss How Season 2 Ended

If you've already binged all 10 episodes of Narcos' second season on Netflix, here are my thoughts on how the season wrapped up. If you haven't watched Season 2, or made it all the way to the end, this is your spoiler warning.

For the non-spoiler review of Season 2, head here.

Before I dive into the death of Pablo Escobar at the end of Narcos: Season 2, let's be clear about the fact that the show, right in the final moments, set us up for a possible third season that would focus on the takedown of the Cali Cartel. An obvious route, for sure, but also one that lacks the power of Pablo. None of the Cali members feel like fully formed characters like Pablo was so this hypothetical Season 3 already faces an uphill climb. The villains are all just smarmy and nefarious and unless the show all of a sudden decides to take us into their lives like it did with Pablo, the story might run on fumes. Of course, the show could always shift back to the lives of Murphy and Pena and explore those two characters a bit more.

Firewatch for Xbox One Release Date Announced

Firewatch will release for the Xbox One on September 21, developer Campo Santo announced today. A major, free update for the game on all platforms is also expected to release on the same day.

The free update will introduce what is essentially a commentary mode to the game, but one that is built into the Wyoming wilderness that is Firewatch's setting. Players will be able to discover over 100 kiosks and tapes that explain Firewatch's development, the reasoning behind certain decisions, and more from Campo Santo.

Players can keep track of what they collect via a checklist on the in-game map, which lists all of the tapes available on each day of the game's story.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Dives Deeper Than Ever

The fear I always have with huge, almost impenetrably deep RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin is that their developer will start making the assumption that they’d sell more copies if they just made their game simpler. Larian Studios’ amazing take on the Baldur’s Gate formula was one complex beast, and I would have bet the farm that they’d “streamline” Divinity: Original Sin 2 to make it more palatable to a broader audience.

I would have lost a lot of money.

In what seems like a bold, even brazen move, Larian has doubled down with Original Sin 2, providing more ways to mold your character, more ways to get into trouble, and more ways to fight your way out of it.

From Dusk Till Dawn Preview: Seth Gecko Picks a Fight

El Rey Network's From Dusk Till Dawn TV series, based on the Robert Rodriguez-directed/Quentin Tarantino-written 1996 film -- with Rodriguez executive producing and often directing -- returns for its third season this coming Tuesday. Once more, the Gecko brothers (D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz, playing the roles originated by George Clooney and Tarantino in the film) find themsevles in the vortex of the culebra/vampire world, thrust into a fight against the forces of Hell.

Here, in this exclusive clip from the season premiere, Cotrona's Seth makes a challenge that could land him in some seriously hot water. Vowing to beat any man put in front of him at an underground fight club run by Eiza González's Santanico Pandemonium, can he rise to the challenge?

Ahead of Gotham's return later this month, FOX has released a brand-new trailer for Season 3.

The preview video, dubbed "Nothing Else Matters," provides a sneak peek at Gotham's host of new villains, including Maggie Geha's all-grown-up Poison Ivy, as well as what appears to be the "proto" version of Killer Croc. It also looks as though Jessica Jones actor Kieran Mulcare will indeed appear as Solomon Grundy, reaffirming speculation from a set photo that surfaced last month.
