Marvel's ongoing Deadpool series has been better than ever since the recent relaunch. Now might just be the ideal time to launch a spinoff book. This mini-series focuses on Wade Wilson's team of money-grubbing, color-coordinated mercenaries as they carry out missions too strange and deadly for anyone else.

NBC Renews SVU and Chicago Med

NBC has renewed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago Med for their eighteenth and second seasons, respectively, as the network extended its deal with series creator/producer Dick Wolf through 2020.

"Dick Wolf is a without a doubt one of the greatest producers in the history of dramatic television," said NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt. "The Law & Order legacy would have been enough to set him apart from all the rest, but the Chicago franchise now kicks him into the stratosphere. He has been a defining voice of NBC for over a generation, and he is most welcome at this company forever."

Wolf's other Chicago series -- Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. -- were previously renewed. A fourth series titled Chicago Law is currently in development.

Is The Punisher a Villain in Daredevil: Season 2?

The introduction of The Punisher in Daredevil: Season 2 is going to challenge Matt Murdock's outlook on his function as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.

Frank Castle (The Walking Dead alum Jon Bernthal) is a person whose moral code is diametrically opposed to Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox): he kills those he considers deserving of being punished, and Matt is against killing in any fashion. In that way, The Punisher is introduced as an antagonist in Season 2, but Bernthal wouldn't go as far as to call Frank Castle a villain.

"I never look at things as I'm playing a villain or I'm playing a good guy. I just try to get as in touch with the character as I can and really get as familiar and try to get that character's hurt and his story and his wants ingrained in my body," Bernthal explained during a recent group interview. "What draws me to the character and why I enjoyed playing him so much this season is they were bold enough to let me go full out 100 percent in one direction and then go back in the other, and not have to sit there and spoon feed the audience and go, 'Hey, I'm doing this really bad thing and this is why.' They just let me go do the thing and then the audience will find out why later.

Amazon UK Lists Super Meat Boy Physical Release for PS4

UPDATE 2/1/2016 3:50 pm PT: Team Meat developer Edmund McMillen has responded to IGN, calling the Amazon UK listing erroneous.

"99% sure it's false. We don't have a publisher for boxed retail," McMillen said.

While the listing remains on Amazon UK, it is not clear if a physical version of the game is coming to PlayStation 4 or not.

An Amazon UK listing for Super Meat Boy suggests the game may be getting a physical release for PlayStation 4.

The hardcore platformer developed by Team Meat is available for pre-order, retailing for £20, with a release date of April 29, 2016.

Ubisoft Files Opposition to EA Trademark

Ubisoft has filed an opposition to two trademark registrations made by EA. Rising from concerns the EA trademark of 'Ghost' could hurt Ubisoft's existing brands, the formal opposition was filed January 29.

The filing was dug up by NeoGAF from an official listing on the United States Patent and Trademark Office website. Essentially, Ubisoft is concerned its own property would "be damaged by registration of the mark."

Specifically, Ubisoft mentions its Ghost Recon series as being specifically vulnerable should the mark be awarded to EA.

Super Mario Maker Wallpaper Tool Is Almost Like the Real Game

So here's a super cool thing: Nintendo has put up a version of the Super Mario Maker level creator to create your own desktop and mobile wallpapers.

If you head on over to this site the Japanese (though pretty intuitive) instructions will ask you to select either a desktop monitor or phone. From there you can select your device's resolution or model, and get to work making a static version of your own level.

The Magicians Cast Preview Plenty of Danger and Excitement

The Magicians debuted last Monday on Syfy, giving viewers a TV adaptation of Lev Grossman’s series about a university for magic -- the main characters are college-aged in the series, but graduate students in the series -- where newcomer Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) encounters a whole new world and some very ominous threats.

On a visit to the impressive Vancouver sets of The Magicians in December, shortly before production wrapped on the season, I spoke to cast members Olivia Taylor Dudley (“Alice”), Arjun Gupta (“Penny”) and Summer Bishil (“Margo Hanson” – changed from “Janet” in the books) to discuss the series. The cast members spoke about their characters and their abilities and how the show is delving into some decidedly adult topics – whether it be some shocking violence or, eventually, a threesome scene familiar to fans of the books (which is to say, some spoilers from the books follow!).

9 Most Anticipated MMORPGs of 2016

There's a lot of awesome games to look forward to in 2016, but don't let all that buzz make you overlook one genre worth paying attention to this year. Spread between massive crowdfunding campaigns and smaller indie projects, MMORPGs are on the cusp of big changes to the familiar formula we've all come to know. And, fortunately for you, we've rounded up some of the most promising MMORPGs that are worth keeping an eye on this year.

If the growing mountain of money that Star Citizen has received through crowdfunding isn't a big enough reason to be interested, then looking over the proposed features of the game would probably do the trick. By combining multiple genres together, Star Citizen is looking to take MMOs to bold new frontiers with its blend of sophisticated space combat, first-person shooting, and deep economic and social simulation.
