IGN has an exclusive new TV spot for Disney XD's Guardians of the Galaxy animated series, this time featuring everyone's favorite tree-creature Groot! As you'll see in the video, it looks like Groot gets a translator to interpret all his various "I am Groots" -- albeit still in three-word sayings. Check it out:

Artist Tony Daniel Talks DC’s New Weekly Batman Comic

Last month at SDCC, DC announced a follow-up to their weekly Batman Eternal comic. Batman and Robin Eternal will focus on Dick Grayson and the other members of the Batman family as they deal with a dark secret from Bruce Wayne's past coming to light.

Like the first Batman Eternal, the new weekly series will feature a large lineup of writers and artists, including Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV acting as "showrunners" for the book. Artist Tony Daniel will be responsible for establishing the look and feel of the series, as he's drawing the first issue, the first month's worth of covers and an 8-page preview story that will debut on "Batman Day" in September. DC has also confirmed that Daniel will return to draw future issues of the series.

DC You Is What The New 52 Should Have Been

This past June marked the start of DC You, where the publisher kicked off new stories in half of their comics line and launched two dozen new series to fill out the rest of it. It wasn’t so much a reboot like 2011’s attention-grabbing New 52, but more of a refresh that kept what was working and added some new ideas. However, there’s currently a rumor going around that DC Comics is experiencing financial woes -- partially from their big move from East to West coast, but a large chunk due to lackluster sales -- and in order to recover, they aim to abandon many of DC You’s experimental ideas for more classic stories. That would be a shame, because from where I sit DC is putting out their best comics in years.

Lionsgate Is Developing a Borderlands Movie

Lionsgate is working on a movie based on Gearbox's Borderlands, with producers Avi Arad and his son Ari.

According to Variety, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairs Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said that "the ‘Borderlands’ games don’t pull any punches, and we’ll make the movie with the same in-your-face attitude that has made the series a blockbuster mega-franchise.”

Avi Arad was the founder of Marvel Studios and was involved as a producer on most Marvel-based films (including Blade, X-Men, Spider-Man, Daredevil and Fantastic Four) through the debut of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. After leaving Marvel, he still remained a producer on the Spider-Man series at Sony.

LawBreakers Gameplay Vid Shows Off Character Classes

A new gameplay trailer has been released for Boss Key Productions’ forthcoming physics-based-shooter LawBreakers.

This is our first time seeing the game in action, and gives a quick look at one of the maps, Grandview, and also introduces us to four playable characters, Kitsune, Maverick, Breacher, and Cronos.

Check out the trailer above.

Kitsune is a fast-paced melee fighter who excels at close-quarter combat. She’s not much cop when charging enemies head-on, but take them by surprise and they’re toast: “

what she lacks in durability she more than makes up for in damage output and mobility,” reads the press release.

Maverick makes use of her jets to get out of (or into depending on your playstyle) sticky situations. Her ability, Starfall, allows her to jet into the sky then plummet back down to earth at high velocity, wrecking everything in sight.
