Biomutant Review — A Flawed Mutation
Biomutant's post-apocalyptic open world differs from the norm, even if it's guilty of adhering to a few familiar tropes. The remnants of its neglected towns are still populated by dilapidated buildings and roaming bandits, and its overgrown roadways are littered with the burnt-out husks of abandoned vehicles. But Biomutant also utilizes a vivid color palette that makes its verdant fields and picturesque red mountains pop with the kind of striking vibrancy that's rarely associated with the apocalypse.
Throw in some furry anthropomorphic creatures, and Biomutant's character design and general style is certainly atypical of the genre. Yet it also consists of a mishmash of fairly obvious influences, from a Breath of the Wild-esque structure to combo-driven combat that's similar to Devil May Cry, and other familiar elements from the likes of Fallout, Max Payne, and Borderlands. It's a flavorful petri dish, for sure, and there are plenty of uneven and drab aspects to its overall design and structure. The mixture between old and new ideas doesn't always sit right, but Biomutant also manages to carve out its own identity amid its many inspirations.
This begins with the character creator, as you step into the flocculent skin of one of the aforementioned creatures--an odd hybrid between a squirrel, rat, and any other scurrying critter that comes to mind. Choosing a breed affects your starting stats to a certain degree, and you can pump points into specific attributes if you fancy, say, dealing more melee damage or increasing your chances of bartering with merchants. If this sounds like your typical by-the-numbers RPG progression system, it's because it is. There's some personality to the character creator, as your body shape will change depending on which stats you opt to emphasize--big head for intellect, big biceps for strength. Ultimately, however, your starting attributes aren't especially significant. You're able to put 10 points into a category each time you level up, so it's easy to build a fairly well-rounded character within a few hours.

The official auction page confirms that the original video, originally posted on May 22, 2007, will soon be deleted from YouTube.
"Bid to own the soon-to-be-deleted YouTube phenomenon, Charlie Bit My Finger, leaving you as the sole owner of this lovable piece of internet history (while also getting the chance to say Charlie bit your finger, if you want to see what all the hype is about)," reads the auction listing, which also offers the winner an opportunity to "create their own parody of the video featuring the original stars."

After biting down, Harry utters his famous line, "Charlie bit my finger," while Charlie breaks out into a mischevious giggle. Altogether, the video amassed over 882 million views on YouTube.
NFTs are on the rise, with more and more people wanting to gain ownership of digital assets. A JPG file made by the digital artist known as Beeple sold for a record $69.3 million earlier this year. As a result, it became the third most expensive piece of artwork to be sold by a living artist at auction. "I believe we are witnessing the beginning of the next chapter in art history, digital art," Beeple noted after the sale.

Rainbow Six Siege to Begin Removing Dead Bodies from PvP
Rainbow Six Siege will now remove persistent dead bodies from PvP, with developers saying that the drop in realism will help competitive integrity.
Ubisoft announced the change today, which will see dead bodies in PvP matches disappear after just a few seconds, being replaced with a translucent icon representing which operator died in that location.

Game designer Sébastien François explained the problem that led to the change: "The issue now with [in-game corpses] is that they won't be replicated the same way for all the players [in a match]. So, sometimes, line of sight will be available to you, but it won't be available for another [player]. That will lean into very unfair situations where you're going to take decisions that maybe were not the best ones just because of the [location] of the body."
The change has been made not just to stop that problem, but also to offer players more information – with multiple skins for the game's operators, it can be hard to tell at first glance which character has been taken down. That problem should be solved with the icon.
"It might make the game look a bit less realistic," continued François, "but for us the main goal with that is competitive integrity. It's something we're striving for, we know it's been an issue for a while [...] but we're really striving for competitive integrity and we think this change is for the better."

That trade of realism for fairness makes sense in the context of Rainbow Six Siege as an ongoing game. With the game now in its sixth year on the market, there will naturally be fewer new players looking for an immersive, sim-like experience, with much of the regular audience playing for the game's competitive thrills. That added fairness should help reduce frustration for more seasoned players, as well as lend some weight to the game's large presence in esports.
This change is part of a wider evolution that Siege has taken recently, swapping its gritty, monochrome in-game style for a more vibrant approach, representative of its evolution into a sport, rather than a traditional Tom Clancy game.
That's not to say Ubisoft isn't experimenting with Rainbow Six, though - the PvE-focused Rainbow Six Parasite (working title) should be on its way this year after some sizeable delays. Outside of the company, several of Siege's leads have also begun work on a new online multiplayer game for Amazon.

In June 2021, Netflix is bringing some big-name adaptations of beloved properties to its catalog, including DC Comics' Sweet Tooth and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie: Part 1/Part 2.
On the TV front, Lupin: Part 2 arrives on June 11, and the fifth and final season of Kim's Convenience will become available on June 2.

Everything Coming to Netflix in June 2021
In June 2021, Netflix is bringing some big-name adaptations of beloved properties to its catalog, including DC Comics' Sweet Tooth and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie: Part 1/Part 2.
On the TV front, Lupin: Part 2 arrives on June 11, and the fifth and final season of Kim's Convenience will become available on June 2.

June is also a big month for movies on Netflix, as the Godzilla Singular Point anime will make its way to the platform on June 24 and Liam Neeson's The Ice Road will follow one day later on June 25.
On June 18, Kevin Hart's Fatherhood will become available - a new Netflix film that is based on a real story of a father dealing with the sudden death of his wife and learning to raise a child as a single parent.
