When he's not busy getting absurdly ripped and starring in movies, Marvel's Eternals actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani is a capital "G" gamer. In an interview with IGN, Nanjiani discussed how he spends his minimal free time between projects and press interviews playing games on his PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

What's at the top of Nanjiani's to-play list? The actor is currently working his way through Deathloop, the time-looping immersive sim/FPS from the creators of Dishonored and Prey.

"I'm savoring it," Nanjiani said. "I haven't beaten it yet but I think I'm getting closer. I'm traveling for press and I'm like 'I need to beat this game in the next two days.'"

Nanjiani also brings his PS5 or his Xbox Series X with him while he travels for film roles. During quarantine, Nanjiani said he played Gears of War's horde mode every Wednesday with friends, and that Death Stranding and Red Dead Redemption 2 were his primary games throughout filming of Eternals.

Video games have been a sizeable part of Nanjiani's identity as a comedian and actor, which makes plenty of sense when you remember he has a starring role on HBO's Silicon Valley and earned a computer science degree in college. In his 2013 Comedy Central special, Nanjiani discussed a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer level based on the Pakistani city of Karachi, his hometown. He also pointed out how the game's level designers used the Arabic language on street signs, rather than the actual language of Pakistan, which is Urdu.

In past interviews with other outlets, Nanjiani has discussed how he and his father would buy bootleg copies of Commodore 64 games from people who advertised in a local paper. He's also discussed writing video game fanfiction as a kid after playing through Golden Axe on the Sega Genesis. He's occasionally voiced video game characters, like the salarian Jarun Tann in Mass Effect: Andromeda or a minor character in Telltale's The Walking Dead's season two.

A tweet from the official Nintendo UK account warns players not to go to resident services and request to model a neighbor's home while the airport gates are open, lest they experience unintended "gameplay bugs." The same tweet was made by the official Nintendo of Australia and New Zealand account, though notably Nintendo of America hasn't said anything about it yet.

You're still good to remodel neighbor's homes, just close those airport gates first. Nintendo says if you do make this error and encounter bugs, you can simply end the play session and relaunch the game without losing data or having any other issues. A patch is on the way later this month that will prevent this from happening entirely.

It's not clear exactly what gameplay bugs are being referred to here, but it's probably best to be safe and just avoid the airport unless your island is just how you want it. Generally, having the airport open in Animal Crossing: New Horizons prohibits you from doing certain activities, like using Island Designer to change the terrain, sending mail, or buying items via Nook Shopping. And if a visitor is actually on your island, you can't change the decor in the area they're in. So it makes some sense that there might be an issue with completely changing a neighbor's house while your game is connected online.

It's hard to believe given that there have been nearly 30 movies and several TV shows, but sex has never really appeared in the MCU. That's changing in the Eternals, releasing today, which features a "very mature love story" between two of its protagonists.

Warning! Major spoilers for The Eternals are ahead!

In The Eternals, heroes Ikaris [Richard Madden] and Sersi [Gemma Chan] fall in love in Ancient Babylon, where they consummate their relationship. Naturally, their 21st century reunion dredges up old emotions between them, which quickly becomes one of the focal points for the group's emotional conflicts.

Speaking with IGN, director Chloé Zhao talked about how that romance took shape in Eternals, and how she approached the sex scene between the two.

"It was written into the script because it's a very mature love story," Zhao said. "We wanted to show them physically loving each other. The actors, Gemma and Richard, asked 'Oh, we can do this for an MCU film?' And I said, 'Yeah, I think so.'"

Zhao then explained how the scene was constructed.

"Obviously we wanted to do it in a way that really communicated love, so we did it in the most beautiful time of the day," Zhaos said. "Props to the both of them because it's a very short window of time, like 25 minutes, and then once we put it together we showed them the scene, and right away they thought it was really beautiful, and there was no discussion after that."

In the course of the interview, Zhao also discussed the two post-credits scenes featuring Black Knight, revealing that she pitched her ideas directly Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

"I directed both the post-credit scenes and pitched these ideas to Kevin because I got really excited about Pip the Troll and Eros and their relationship, and also Black Knight," Zhao said. "Also, Eros' origin on Titan as an Eternal, how he might have affected Thanos the same way these Eternals affected earthlings. So it was very exciting."

The Eternals is out now, and while it has received mixed reviews from critics, it opened with a solid overseas box office take of $8.5 million. Our own review by Amelia Emberwing called the film "huge," but noted that the story "gets unwieldy when it shifts into a cosmic scale."

Filming for the Marvel sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been put on hold until early 2022 as star Letitia Wright recovers from an on-set injury.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Wright, who plays T’Challa’s sister Shuri, was reportedly injured during a sequence involving a stunt rig back in August. Wright has been recovering in London while filming continued without her.

However, director Ryan Coogler is said to have shot all the footage available that doesn’t include Wright and so production must wait until she can return to the set.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wright’s character Shuri was “elevated” as the lead in the sequel after appearing in Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame. Also per THR, Black Panther 2 is still on track for its November 11, 2022 release date.

Story details for Black Panther 2 are being tightly guarded, especially after franchise star and Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman, died in 2020 from cancer. Questions about how the record-breaking Black Panther franchise could continue without Boseman were one of the primary questions surrounding the sequel.

Boseman’s death left a crater in Hollywood beyond just Black Panther. The newly released Netflix western Harder They Fall included a small tribute to Boseman as an easter egg.

Remember in Avengers: Endgame when Hawkeye was Ronin and killed a bunch of people? It looks like the writers for the upcoming Disney Plus series, Hawkeye, do.

In an interview with Gamesradar, the comedy writing duo Bert & Bertie (Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood), said that the six-episode lighthearted Christmas-themed show isn't what most people would expect from Marvel Studios. The show borrows quite a bit from the 2012 Hawkeye comic run and Christmas issue by Matt Fraction and artist David Aja. Even so, it looks like the show will have some dark undertones to it.

When Clint Barton took up the mantel of Ronin, he went on a rampage after his entire family was wiped out by Thanos. Jeremy Renner, who plays the eponymous hero, didn't want to leave that part of the character out. The vigilante is part of Hawkeye now and in the upcoming series, it looks like his murderous past will catch up to him.

"[Renner] wanted the darkness," Bert says. "He wanted to go there. And there are moments that the Ronin Clint resurfaces. It's very important to have those depths that you can explore, so that he can come out of it."

The first two episodes of Hawkeye will air on Disney Plus on November 24. The most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure, Eternals, arrives in theaters today.
