Hannibal Cancelled by NBC

NBC has cancelled Hannibal and will not be renewing the show for a fourth season.

TVLine broke the news, confirming the current third season will be it for the show's run on the network.

Said the show's creator, Bryan Fuller, in a statement:

“NBC has allowed us to craft a television series that no other broadcast network would have dared, and kept us on the air for three seasons despite Cancellation Bear Chow ratings and images that would have shredded the eyeballs of lesser Standards & Practices enforcers,” Fuller said in a statement. “

Jen Salke and her team have been fantastic partners and creatively supportive beyond measure. Hannibal is finishing his last course at NBC’s table this summer, but a hungry cannibal can always dine again. And personally, I look forward to my next meal with NBC.”

Dark Horse Comics (Finally) Available on ComiXology

An extensive catalog of Dark Horse Comics' past published works are now available digitally through ComiXology.

The same catalog as that found on Amazon's Kindle Store, Dark Horse's digital offerings cover collected editions, graphic novels, and manga from several famous series, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hellboy, Sin City, 300, Fear Agent, and Usagi Yojimbo.

It should be noted that single issues of current series are only available through Dark Horse's own digital comic store and will not be available for purchase through ComiXology.

Comic Book Resources reports the addition of Dark Horse's catalog was merely a matter of bringing Kindle's offerings over to the Amazon sister service.

Stream Firefly, Airbender and Supernatural Along With IGN

While it would be ridiculous to say there’s no TV on during the summer or even to complain there’s no good TV on these days -- just check out our Summer TV Preview to see many, many options -- it’s still true that things do slow down a bit as far as the daily barrage of high profile series. That being the case, we’re going to use this summer to take a look back at IGN.

While this won’t be the first time we’ve done “Flashback” reviews during the summer, it’s been quite awhile. But we’re bringing them back this year with three different shows: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Supernatural and Firefly.

Wolverine Rumored to Return for Apocalypse

It looks like Hugh Jackman will likely play a role in Fox's upcoming mutant-filled film X-Men: Apocalypse.

His reported involvement was outed in a post on Instagram by Kika NY, a hand-made leather goods designer based in Brooklyn. The post has since been pulled but, according to the The Playlist, it said, "We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal. We started sketching – The bag will be ready next week- we will keep you posted."

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: Two Hands-on Impressions

Getting hands-on with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate helped shed some light on how a lot of the new systems and mechanics work, how the lighter tone reflects the new characters, and how Ubisoft has responded to the criticisms over 2014’s AC Unity. Two IGN editors played through a 20 minute demo that took place on the streets and rooftops of London, and came away with a pair of differing impressions.

I’ve played a lot of Assassin’s Creed over the past few years. Like, a lot. While I definitely had my fair share of criticism’s with last year’s Unity, I was really impressed with the way that Ubisoft handled the Syndicate reveal. The team was humble and honest about the stumbles of Unity, and did a great job of introducing the new setting, more playful tone, and new suite of mechanics that make your pair of assassins more mobile than ever.

11 Games Missing From E3 2015

Heading into 2015’s Electronic Gaming Expo, we knew what not to expect. Many publishers were transparent that their games wouldn’t be on show -- and yes, we’re as disappointed as you that we’ll have to wait for more on Scalebound, The Legend of Zelda, Quantum Break, Final Fantasy XV, Crackdown, and more. But what’s surprising are the games we expected to learn more from that were simply missing.

Previously announced titles that showed well at E3 2014, Gamescom, Penny Arcade Expo, The PlayStation Experience, and other events could have made a huge splash at E3 this year. These are the mysteriously absent games of E3 2015 -- and the games we’re most looking forward to learning more about ASAP.
