Gunn Promises a ‘More Emotional’ Guardians 2

Director James Gunn is promising a 'more emotional' movie with his sequel to last year's Guardians of the Galaxy.

"Well you know – it’s a more emotional movie, it’s both a bigger movie and a smaller movie, because we focus more intensely on some of the characters," Gunn told Collider.

Gunn reiterated that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be about fathers, saying that "we get to learn a lot about fathers in the second movie".

Of course, the director also promised a sequel to Awesome Mix Vol 1; fingers crossed for more Bowie.

Co-Showrunner Calls Daredevil S2 ‘Daredevil vs. Punisher’

According to a new report, Daredevil's second season will focus primarily on the conflict between Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle, aka The Punisher.

A source close to The Nerdist says that Daredevil's new co-showrunner Marco Ramirez is referring to Season 2 as 'Daredevil vs. the Punisher', which suggests that either A: the pair will be battling it out to be the hero - or indeed, anti-hero - of Hell's Kitchen, or B: that Punisher might play a more traditionally villainous role in the show.

Last month, Marvel's head of TV Jeph Loeb said that “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”

Ted 2 Disappoints at Weekend Box Office

Ted 2 was unable to dethrone the wildly successful Jurassic World at the domestic box office as the dinosaur adventure flick enjoyed its third straight week at No. 1.

Universal's teddy bear flick was up against two formidable opponents, Jurassic World and Disney/Pixar's Inside Out, which raked in $52.1 million and $54.2 million, respectively. The comedy sequel starring Mark Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane only managed to pull in a disappointing $32.9 million, about $15 million less than anticipated, according to Variety.

The original Ted earned an impressive $54 million debut on the way to $549.4 million in global revenue. Ted 2 was expected to be this summer's biggest comedy, but Universal cited "sequel-itis" as a major reason for the underwhelming start.

South Park Creators Envision the Final Episode

South Park fans have a good long while before they have to worry about the show ending. Comedy Central has creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker signed on for at least two more seasons through 2016, and no telling how long after that. But when the time does come, do Matt and Trey have a story in mind for the very final episode?

To put it bluntly... no, not really. But speaking with IGN's own Ryan McCaffrey at E3 last week, the creators did reveal what a South Park series finale would probably be like. "I think it's going to end with a fizzle, for sure," Parker said with a laugh. "I think it's just going to end with some dud, and we're gonna go, 'F*** this, man,' and walk away."
