12 Monkeys: Season 2 Will Deliver More Answers

12 Monkeys show runners Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett promised more answers, more time travel and yes, more paradox when the series returns next year. Though they were vague about whether we'd learn who the Witness is, they did confirm that we learn about the Red Forest, whose remains the virus originates in, and what is the agenda of the Army of the 12 Monkeys. We will also learn more about the mysterious Olivia and why the 12 messengers want to take control of the time machine.

Aaron Stanford said that Cole is in a different place now. He's choosing life over death. Cassie has now become a time traveler herself and will be affected by her time in the future. Even when they are reunited physically, they will not be as close as they were at the end of Season 1 and will have to "find each other again." When the season begins, Cole and Ramsey will be on the run in Budapest for an undisclosed reason, while working through their very complicated friendship.

Tarantino May Not Retire at 10 Films After All

In the past, director Quentin Tarantino has said he would retire from movies after making 10 films. But that might not be the case.

"I might say to hell with that and make it to 15. We'll see.” Tarantino said, during a crowded San Diego Comic-Con panel.

Tarantino told Playboy in 2012 “directors don’t get better as they get older. Usually the worst films in their filmography are those last four at the end.” He then felt 10 films would be enough for his career.

Regardless of the inevitable decision, Tarantino remained adamant that he wanted to continue his career shooting on film. Because if he's going to get stuck shooting on digital, then he'll just go and shoot for TV miniseries instead.

Batman Team Talks New Bad Guys

DC Comics talked all things Gotham at their New DC Universe: Batman panel, which featured the Batman creative team of writer Scott Snyder, artist Greg Capullo and editor Mark Doyle.

Moderator John Cunningham kicked off the panel, jokingly noting that "Not much has happened in Gotham this year." The panelists began by going through a set of process shots from issue #41, showing the transition from Capullo's pencils to Danny Miki's inks to FCO's colors. As the slides were shown, the team discussed their own collaborative process from issue to issue, with Snyder remarking that everything he's written for Capullo has come back better than he imagined. This lead to a big smooch from Capullo and a cheer from the crowd. The two then lauded the elasticity of the other, each sharing a number of amusing anecdotes in regards to their working relationship.

Quentin Tarantino Says Kill Bill 3 Could Still Happen

Today at The Hateful Eight panel at Comic-Con, director Quentin Tarantino was asked if his often-rumored Kill Bill Volume 3 could still happen. And it sounds like it might!

“Never say never to Kill Bill 3,” said the Tarantino. “Uma

would really like to do it. We talk about it every once in a while. Vernita’s daughter just needs to get a little older.”

That, of course, would be Vernita Green, the character played by Vivica A. Fox. Vernita’s young daughter witnessed Thurman’s Beatrix Kiddo kill her mom, and as such has often theorized as a possible motivating factor -- looking for revenge -- in a third film.

Another Futurama/Simpsons Crossover is ‘Possible’

When asked about the possibility of another Futurama/Simpsons crossover during a panel at Comic-Con, Matt Groening said, "It's possible."

According to Groening, "Fans of Futurama are still watching the show on Netflix. You know how everything gets rebooted? Futurama will get rebooted someday. We'll see."

In our review, we called Simpsorama, the last crossover episode that aired, "a fun and enjoyable ride" despite being kind of short.

The Simpsons Creators Tease New “Treehouse of Horror”

Going into it's record-breaking 27th season (just let that sink in for a second), The Simpsons returned to San Diego Comic Con in full force on Saturday.

Among the Ballroom 20 panel was creator Matt Groening, executive producers Al Jean and Matt Selman, supervising director Mike Anderson, long-time director David Silverman and the legendary voice behind Bart Simpson, Nelson Muntz, and Ralph Wiggum, Nancy Cartwright (making her Comic-Con debut!).

Also, as a special guest, director Guillermo del Toro joined the panel, re-screening his Halloween couch gag from a couple years back. When asked what inspired his self-referential title sequence, Del Toro joked, "Many, many lonely nights as a kid." The filmmaker also noted that there's one reference fans still haven't caught, and that's nod to 1977's The Car, starring James Brolin.

The Milestone Universe Returns to DC Comics

This morning DC Comics announced a partnership with Milestone Media to publish new comics featuring popular Milestone characters like Static, Hardware and Icon.

Unlike DC's previous Static Shock comic, which positioned Static as one of many heroes in the New 52 universe, the Milestone characters will go back to existing in their own self-contained world (referred to as Earth-M). The arrangement seems similar to Milestone's original relationship with DC, where the former was a DC imprint but maintained creative control over its properties.
