Uncharted 4 Will Feature Real-Time Cutscenes
The developers at studio Naughty Dog have confirmed they'll be bringing Nathan Drake to the PlayStation 4 entirely in real-time.
Speaking with Wil Wheaton on PlayStation's new series Conversations with Creators, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End co-lead designer Anthony Newman discussed how current-gen hardware has given the development team the opportunity to implement new features in the franchise. Particularly with fidelity, which Newman says is the reason why they're able to do new things visually with the cutscenes and animation.
"We're actually doing real-time cutscenes in Uncharted 4, which is a new step for us," he said. "You're not going to see those black bars that we used to have in between gameplay and cutscenes. That's going to let us be so much more expressive and really get that seamlessness between the storytelling and the gameplay. Which we already do very well, but it's going to allow us to take it to that next level.
Year Walk Is Coming to Wii U
Year Walk is making its way to Wii U, developer Simogo has announced.
The company is working with Dakko Dakko to bring the game to Nintendo's home console, which won't be a straight port. Not only will it have added GamePad support for note-taking and convenient map viewing, the Wii U version will feature motion controls.
"The game has been totally rebuilt for the platform, with the Wii U GamePad tightly integrated into the game," the studio said in a post on its official website. "It’s hard to imagine that it was not made for Wii U originally – that’s how home it feels."
While the developer doesn't yet have a release date locked down, it's hoping to have the game out later this year.

New Horizons Captures Images of Pluto and Charon
Humanity celebrated scientific progress today as the New Horizons craft was able to capture images of Pluto and Charon for the first time in history.
Below is an official image of Pluto, taken from approximately 476,000 miles away. The image shows off Pluto's "Heart," a large, bright spot on its face. Relatively featureless as compared to the other sides of Pluto, this "Heart" is an estimated 1,000 miles wide, spanning the approximate distance between Chicago, IL and Denver, CO. Scientists theorize the lack of features in the Heart are a result of continuing geological processes.
