When HoloLens finally becomes a consumer reality, its focus won't be on gaming. At least, not at first.

According to an interview on ZDNet with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, HoloLens will be aimed primarily at professionals. "It's going to be more about developers and enterprise scenarios," Nadella said.

However, Nadella sees a bright future for the device in gaming, specifically, Microsoft-owned Minecraft.

Nadella said Microsoft bought Minecraft to "create a new genre of gaming for mixed reality," among other reasons. He wanted a "hit game" that would lend itself well to the new mixed reality medium, and with Minecraft, Nadella believes "we will have that."
