Goodbye Origin ID, Hello EA Account
EA has revealed that your Origin Account will be renamed to an EA Account over the coming weeks.
According to EA, the switch will "better represent all of EA's games and services."
Changing from an Origin Account to an EA Account is the only change that will be happening. Your account preferences, identity, and order history will remain the same.
In addition, you will still the same login credentials to access Origin, and all other EA sites and services.
To find out what you'll be playing on Origin over the coming years, check out IGN's rundown of all the announcements from this year's EA E3 press conference.
Batman: Arkham Knight Getting ‘Interim’ Patch on PC in August
Warner Bros. has announced it plans to release an "interim" patch addressing some of the issues plaguing the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight.
The patch was announced on the game's Steam page and follows a retailer memo from Australia suggesting a full fix won't surface before September at the earliest, though it could take until November.
Martin Freeman Discusses His Civil War Character
It's been assumed that because Martin Freeman has been cast in a mysterious role in Captain America: Civil War, he'll be playing a villain.
The reality of that assumption might not be as cut and dry, according to the actor's description of his Civil War character.
In an interview with Bad Taste, Freeman described his character as working "in conjunction with the superheroes and certain agencies that help to tame superheroes' power."
"You're not actually quite sure which side he's on," said Freeman. "It looks like he's playing one game when actually he's playing another."

In response to a tweet from NYC Ghostbusters, Feig spilled the beans on the character names of the four leads.
Okay, here you go. Erin Gilbert, Jillian Holtzmann, Abby Yates and Patty Tolan. Now you know even more. https://t.co/MsQVo5iStI

There was no mention of which character names applied to which actors, but the IMDb page for the movie has the names (somewhat correctly) attributed to specific leads.

Brand New Character Necalli Revealed for Street Fighter 5
Capcom has released a trailer revealing the first completely new character to join the cast of Street Fighter 5, an athletic, savage-looking brawler named Necalli. Check out the reveal trailer below:
It's hard to get a detailed sense of his fighting style from the little bit we see in the trailer, but he appears to be an aggressive brawler/grappler. He can be seen doing at least one command grab where he slams his opponent to the ground, causing a slight ground bounce. Might not be enough to combo off of, but the EX version of the same throw wall bounces for easy follow-ups. His Critical Art is an advancing series of blows ending in a big X-shaped claw slash, very reminiscent of Wolverine's Berserker Barrage X super from other Capcom fighting games.
Ant-Man Outpaces Minions, Trainwreck at Box Office
Marvel's tiny superhero outpaced Universal's Minions and Trainwreck at this weekend's box office.
Despite being number one, however, Ant-Man's $58 million debut pales in comparison to the vast majority of films set within the Marvel Comics universe. For the sake of comparison, Avengers: Age of Ultron more than tripled that earlier this year, earning a whopping $191 million in its first weekend.
Not only that, but Ant-Man marks the company's lowest domestic debut since The Incredible Hulk, falling a few million shy of Captain America: The First Avenger's modest $65 million opening. While Ant-Man is hardly the most recognizable character among comic book superheroes, this is probably not the opening Marvel was hoping for, especially in light of such positive critical reception.
No More Bond Movies for Director Sam Mendes
Director San Mendes has confirmed that he’s not keen on helming any more Bond films after SPECTRE.
“I said no to the last one
and then ended up doing it, and was pilloried by all my friends,” Mendes told the BBC. “But I do think this is probably it.”
Mendes explained that SPECTRE is a bigger movie than Skyfall, describing the globetrotting shoot as an “enormous undertaking.”
Mendes called the gig a “fantastic life-changing thing” but conceded he doubted he could do it again.
“You do have to put everything else on hold,” he said.
Mendes also revealed that the SPECTRE theme song was complete, although he naturally refused to divulge who had recorded it.
Why There Will Never Be a Super Street Fighter 5
Capcom has announced that the first version of Street Fighter 5 you buy will be the last one you will ever have to purchase for the lifetime of the game, as all future content for it will be available digitally, and will be either earnable in-game, or free.
In a statement made to IGN, Capcom outlined a hefty chunk of their post-launch support plan for the upcoming entry of their flagship fighting series. First off, any and all balance changes will be completely free; you will never be required to buy a newer version of Street Fighter 5 in order to keep up with the current meta and player-base.
As you might imagine, there will come a time when Capcom will want to expand the roster beyond the starting cast, which we were told will be comprised of 12 returning characters and four completely new ones for a healthy day one crop of 16 fighters. The method by which new characters will be added however, is where Capcom is making big changes.
