Square-Enix CEO: Tomb Raider Exclusivity ‘Wasn’t an Easy Decision’
Square Enix CEO of the Americas and Europe, Phil Rogers, has acknowledged that the Tomb Raider developer knew it would "disappoint" fans with its exclusivity deal with Microsoft.
"I hope fans know that it wasn’t an easy decision," said Rogers, talking to The Examiner. "I think any sort of partnership at this level is a decision that took a long time for us to get to. The decision at a studio level, we took very, very seriously. We knew it would, in the short-term, disappoint fans."
The decision to partner with Microsoft was eventually reached when Square Enix saw Microsoft's "amazing passion" for the game.
‘Impossible’ Propulsion Engine Actually Works
German scientists have confirmed that an Electromagnetic Propulsion Engine, claimed by some to be 'impossible', actually works.
The EM Drive breaks the conservation of momentum law of physics, which is why it was originally widely ridiculed by the scientific community. However after repeated testing, it appears that the engine is actually producing thrust. Claims earlier in the year that it was creating a warp field have now been refuted.
It is propelled forward by microwaves bouncing around inside a closed chamber. It will supposedly be able to get us to Mars in just 70 days, without using expensive rocket fuel.

Crackdown Gameplay Reveal Officially Set For Gamescom
Microsoft has confirmed the first gameplay for Crackdown on Xbox One will be shown at this year's Gamescom.
Taking to Twitter, Xbox chief Phil Spencer confirmed the studio will be showing the title in action and the final content for its press conference is now being locked down.
"Final Gamescom content review was today and things are becoming final," he wrote. "Lot's of nostalgia for me with the Crackdown gameplay."
Crackdown was announced for Xbox One during last year's E3 in Los Angeles. Since then, details regarding the open-world action game have been virtually nonexistent, but it seems that's all set to change.
