Want to See an Exorcism Performed Live on TV?
A group of ghost hunters and a medium will be attempting to exorcise the spirits and demons supposedly residing in the house that inspired 1973's The Exorcist. Destination America will air the exorcism live on October 30 at 9/8c, it was announced today at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour.
Titled Exorcism: Live!, the event will feature cast members from Destination America's Ghost Asylum and Tennessee Wraith Chasers, as well as psychic-medium Chip Coffey. Located in the suburbs of St. Louis, the group will enter the house where the infamous exorcism on Roland Doe was performed in 1949 and use "state of the art" ghost-hunting technology to document any demonic activity.

Wet Hot American Summer’s “Serialized Comic Book Reality”
14 years after the release of the cult comedy film Wet Hot American Summer, the gang at Camp Firewood is back for the Netflix prequel series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, debuting this Friday. Once again the brainchild of The State alum Michael Showalter and David Wain, the eight-episode series reunites the huge cast -- including Elizabeth Banks, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Janeane Garofalo, Nina Hellman, David Hyde Pierce, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, AD Miles, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Marisa Ryan and Molly Shannon -- in a prequel set eight weeks before the movie.
This week, the day after Showalter took part in a TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour panel for Netflix showrunners – you’ll see that panel referenced a couple of times below – I spoke to the writer and actor, who also reprises his role as Coop in Wet Hot, about the appeal of Wet Hot American Summer, the approach he and Wain take with the material, making the schedules of the cast work and more – including why he thinks another installment of Wet Hot is very possible.
