Han Solo Director on Giving Audiences a Fresh Experience
Directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord's next movie couldn’t be bigger, as the duo behind The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street are taking on one of the upcoming Star Wars standalone “Anthology” movies – focusing on a young Han Solo and written by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens) and his son, Jake Kasdan.
In the meantime, Lord and Miller are continuing to executive produce the FOX comedy series, The Last Man on Earth, and developing a third Jump Street film, a LEGO Movie sequel and various LEGO spinoffs - and writing a Spider-Man animated movie for Sony.
I spoke to Miller this week at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, where he was on hand to promote Season 2 of The Last Man on Earth. I’ll have more from my chat with him later about that show specifically, but we also spoke about what it’s like taking on the Han Solo film and he and Miller’s approach to Spider-Man.

MGS5 Looks Really Good on Last-gen Consoles
Konami has released new screenshots of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, showcasing the differences between the each platform.
Thanks to the scalability of the FOX Engine, the game holds up incredibly well on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Here's a look at the PS3 version, courtesy of Konami's official site.

Don’t Buy Microsoft’s DVD Player App for Windows 10
So far, Windows 10 has been a positive experience for the early upgraders here at IGN—but its lack of an included DVD player app is puzzling. Thankfully, it's pretty easy to fix this issue. You've got one of two options, depending on your circumstances: You can download a free version of the official Windows DVD Player application, or install a free third-party program.
First, the caveats:
- You must be running Windows 10 as an upgrade from a Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 installation, and only certain versions of 7 and 8/8.1 qualify. If you've done a clean install, or your copy of Windows doesn't meet the criteria, you'll have to pay $15 for the program.
Mad Max System Requirements Released
Developer Avalanche Studios has released the system specifications for the PC version of its upcoming Mad Max action-adventure game.
The confirmed minimum and optimal system requirements for Mad Max follows:

- Processor: Intel Core i5-650, 3.2 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 Ghz

The Witcher 3 Patch 1.08 Out Now
The latest patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for download, CD Projekt RED has announced.
In a post on Twitter, community lead Marcin Momot confirmed the launch of Patch 1.08, which is live for all platforms.

Firefox Security Flaw Puts Files at Risk, Update Out Now
If you're a fan of the Firefox web browser, it's time to update it to protect your precious files.
Firefox developer Mozilla recently discovered a pretty nasty vulnerability in its browser involving an advertisement on a Russian news site. The exploit would allow the site to sift through a user's files and would then upload them "to a server that appears to be in Ukraine."
The vulnerability utilized Firefox’s PDF Viewer and JavaScript and would inject a script that allowed it to search and upload certain files. And similar to the Android Stagefright flaw, it leaves nothing behind that would inform someone of the attack.

Ryan Murphy gave television reporters a double dose of himself heading into the weekend, appearing at the summer TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour for Scream Queens on Thursday and for the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Hotel on Friday. At the latter, cast members and executive producers Brad Falchuk joined him to share some rare pre-season details.

1. Jessica Lange isn't gone permanently
When the actress announced she would no longer be a part of the anthology series, fans believed it was a permanent move. Not so, according to Murphy. "She decided she wanted a year off to do a play. Which I offered her stupidly," he told press.
