Super Meat Boy 2 Could Still Happen
Nearly five years after Super Meat Boy creator Team Meat said "there won't ever be a Super Meat Boy 2," the notoriously challenging platformer could see a sequel after all.
Speaking to Game Informer, Team Meat's Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes actually found inspiration to make a proper Super Meat Boy sequel while working on their upcoming mobile autorunner Super Meat Boy Forever.
"There were aspects of Forever that were moves that Meat Boy did... that we were prototyping that felt like they could be better used in a sequel," said McMillen. "The future of Meat Boy is definitely up in the air, but a sequel is something that I wouldn't be opposed to doing even though we both said that we wouldn't do it."

CBS Boss Says Supergirl Will Have Bigger Audience Than Gotham
With the ever-increasing number of DC Comics-based shows on multiple networks, perhaps it was inevitable, but it was still noteworthy when CBS chose to program their new series Supergirl right up against Gotham on FOX this fall, with both airing Mondays at 8:00pm.
Today at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, CBS’s chairman, Nina Tassler, was asked about this decision.
“Well, I think that they’re different audiences,” said Tassler. “I think Supergirl has a much bigger, broader audience. It’s more family entertainment. And they look different, they feel different.”
Tassler added, “We had 14.1 million streams of the
trailer. I don’t think anyone is worried about, 'Oh my god, there’s not enough audience out there to watch both those shows.' I think there will be.”

A Beginner’s Guide to Doctor Who
Note: With the eleventh season (or series, depending on what you like to call it) of Doctor Who on its way, and with a new female Doctor making her debut at San Diego Comic-Con this week, we figured this was a great time to look back at this Guide to All the Doctors.
Your friends keep talking about Doctor Who, that amazing British sci-fi show with the alien guy and his time-traveling Police Box (no, not a phone booth, but it sort of looks like one). Now you’ve finally decided to check it out. You’re worried about whether you’ll be expected to wear a scarf or a fez, and then you discover this show has been in existence – in one form or another – for over 50 years!
Sure it’s overwhelming, but don’t let that deter you! There’s a whole universe of adventure waiting (most available on DVD, to say nothing of audio dramas, comics, novels, and more), and with all that history there are a multitude of great places to jump in and join the journey. Yes, there are some silly-looking creatures or cheesy effects, but the show has always focused on strong storytelling and indelible character. So ignore the occasional bubble wrap monsters; after all, Doctor Who is the most successful science fiction TV show of all time (sorry, Star Trek). It even won an Institutional Peabody Award for its exceptional ability to evolve – regenerate? – with the times. Let’s get you started, and you’ll be discussing the details of Dalek timelines and TARDIS technology in no time at all! And yes, you’ll probably be wearing a scarf AND a fez…but they’re cool, so don’t worry.
Dragon Quest 8 on 3DS Has New Dungeon and Ending
The forthcoming 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King will add a new ending.

In addition to the new ending, the 3DS version will also include a new post-ending dungeon to explore. Called the Ultimate Trial, this dungeon will contain "purple treasure chests."
Supergirl: Red Tornado, Non and More DC Characters Coming
Producers and cast from Supergirl took the stage on Monday at the 2015 TCA Summer Press Tour where they revealed that three more notable DC Comics characters are headed to the series: General Sam Lane, Red Tornado and the villain Non.
While the producers had no casting news for these characters yet, they did promise that Non -- played in Superman: The Movie and Superman II by Jack O'Holloran -- would be a "slightly different take on the character." For those who need a quick refresher, Non, a Kryptonian grunt, is traditionally a silent strongman. Red Tornado is an android superhero and General Sam Lane is Lois Lane's father and a US Army general. Jenna Dewan-Tatum was recently announced as playing Lucy Lane, Lois' sister, on Supergirl.

Training Day TV Series in Development
Training Day director Antoine Fuqua is reportedly teaming up with Jerry Bruckheimer to produce a television series adaptation of his hit crime film.
According to Deadline, the project, written by Will Beall, is currently being pitched to all the major networks. The Warner Bros. TV series will reportedly take place fifteen years after the events of the original movie and again center around a pair of cops. Unlike the film, however, they're considering flipping the script and making the older cop white and the young rookie black.
Training Day hit theaters back in 2001, and starred both Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke who played a seasoned narcotics detective and a rookie cop of the LAPD, respectively.
